The defense has been way over relied on. That's because for the past two years our offense can't be dependable when it comes to putting points on the board. That being said, TJ watt is our leader and he is sorely missed.

Steelers need to bring in better coaching talent.....their coaching staff are scrubs .....cheapest staff in the NFfL. Used to have coordinators that were known for their creativity and complex game plans....Lebeau...Arians....

@@AnonymousTreeFrog The O line is getting better, pickett was able to move the chains and get the ball to their play makers but most importantly energized the offensive unit and has given them hope at the position.

@@AnonymousTreeFrog The difference in QB play between the 6 year vet Trubisky who plays like a scared little boy and the rookie seeing his first NFL game action who immediately showed far more balls to move the ball was pretty shocking. I mean I feel for Mitch, he's a really nice guy but he just doesn't have what it takes to be a starting NFL QB but Kenny came in looking like the real deal, that had to be tough for him to realize that was it (at least with the Steelers as their starter, I'm sure other teams will give him another chance). If I watched both halves and had no idea who either QB was, aside from the couple picks (only one was really his fault and even that was a minor mistake that just had an unfortunate bounce), I would have thought Mitch was the rookie and Kenny was the vet. The way Kenny holds himself he looks confident and ready to go, Mitch looks like he's terrified of getting benched every single time he drops back. (I wouldn't even have cared if Mitch threw a few more picks if he did it at least TRYING to push the ball down the field, the constant checkdowns and unnecessary sacks were getting old quick)

He still had 2 rushing touchdowns and made better reads than Trubisky, it's still his first game so we'll see how he looks later in the season

Seriously? Pickett threw short to Claypool which caused the pick and then across the field to a double covered Muth. Those were bad plays, man. Trubisky hit Johnson in the hands and he dropped it. Receivers haven’t been good all year, the line isn’t very good, and Matt Canada runs a high school scheme. I don’t think the QB is the glaring issue.

But our offense looked a lot better with pickett in my opinion compared to mitch. Pickett almost put up as many tds in one half than mitch did in 3 games

pickens might be one of my favorite rookie receivers outside of garret wilson. like, that dude is a DAWG. the catches he makes, the passion, and most especially the work he puts in on the field is elite.

even picket threw 3 picks, all of them are not that bad. the first pick, claypool needs to put some effort to get the ball. if u are a freakish athlete 6'5, u need to fight for the ball. that should have been a completion. the 2nd pick is also not his fault. he threw it high safely not to get picked ahah. the last one was a desperation hail mary. he played well in his first action.

That doesn't change the fact that Kenny came in and the entire atmosphere of the team shifted. Dude looked solid and has the mindset of a vet, he is incredibly cool, calm and collected. Can't wait to watch him develop the rest of the year.

I personally wasn't a believer before the draft and after we picked him and I looked into him more (I didn't scout him nearly as much as the other QBs because I didn't think we stood a chance at getting him) I realized that he has a ton of potential and he really showed it. His first game action and unlike Mitch he wasn't scared to try moving the ball down the field, was willing to stand in there and take a hit to make the pass and looked like a real leader out there, literally everything you want to see.

He could have helped them out better with better ball placement but yeah

@@steelphantom9105 Well there’s not much you can adjust when you’re missing your best player, starting corner, and on the final drive 2 all pros. What I will put on Tomlin is that they constantly blitzed on 3/4th down and left the middle wide open.

facts kenny's picks were dangerous passes but he trusted his guys to come down with it and claypool and muth both dropped the ball leading to his picks. He played really well for the most part

I agree Kai, dangerous passes sure, especially considering they were playing with the lead at the time, before the Hail Mary , but there was a lot to like, and apparently they didn’t prepare him very well coming into the game , as they were probably fully anticipating Mitch to start and play the whole thing.
