As always thank you so much Vian for all of the support you give to us. ❤️. This was a great day, and we had always seen the event on video or television, but that said, nothing was able to prepare us for what it was like to be right there. The huge crowd in what is a fairly tiny area, and the moving of these objects with brute strength. It is amazing. We had a great time and once more got to share it. 🌈🌈🌈

Thank you so much Carol. We have seen it before, but never in person. At least this one. I (Anthony) saw this type of lift when I was a kid, but not in 40 something plus years, and Danette was never in person. It is mad! But brilliant, just like you said. 🌈🌈🌈❤️❤️❤️

We had a stupendous time, even with the heat. We surely needed that little break to cool down, but worth it to see the “Lift” and “Dance” of the Saint and the Boat. Danette had never seen this kind of thing in person before, and didn’t think it would feel so overwhelming to see it in person, but she was so moved. Fun day! So glad you could see this. 🌈🌈🌈

Well, I learned something new today about the Giglio. That was pretty amazing to see. I’ve never seen anything like that. I’m sure you guys were glad to get back into your air-conditioned car. I was getting worried about you both because you were both so hot. I’m not a summer fan so I start shvitzing in no time. Looking forward to your New Hampshire videos next week. Thanks for showing us the feast.

The event itself, in person, is so much more impressive and overwhelming than you might think. Yes! We both melted away and reconstituted! 😂. We both agreed that stopping and then restarting was probably for the best. Gave us a chance to visit the bathroom and cool off. We are very excited to hit the road to NH. Hi, just saw your special two parter with food galore, ship floats, hot box churches and a ghetto Mr Softy. It's was like those Bing Crosby/Bob Hope films with out the singing mixed with elements of those "Leathal Weapon" movies. Loved the food, especially "Best Pizza" (which I wonder if you went back to buy the dough") and all the food stalls that were there. "Our Lady of Mount Carmel festival" was a huge step up from the last festival which was the Eldridge Street Festival. At least there were a much more diverse variety of music food and games plus it felt like a real festival. Unfortunately it was way too packed and I think I would have left like you guys thought of doing after the first livestream but unfortunately you got stuck there. Danette was like a bulldozer walking into the church plus she knows her food and what was fresh or not. The church being that hot was not good for anyone and there should have been more bath rooms. The music was ok and the boat was decent plus the fried rainbow cookies and Zeppoles looked very good and delicious. All and all a great and suspenseful two parter with a great ending with the conversation about the "Getto Fake Mr Softy" trucks. Thank you so much for sharing this with us and may god bless you both and may the blessings of Frank grand you access to air conditioning where ever you go. MST3K FOREVER.

Hey Freddy! you know the Hope and Crosby comparison is right up our alley. On the Road with D&A! The heat drained our strength and our brains weren't working enough to remember to return for the dough. But we definitely will be going back for some. Williamsburg is so darn close to us, especially on the weekend with no traffic. This is more of the real deal as far as festivals go. Not like the Eldridge Street thing. So classic, and the lifts with the crazy huge crowd are so over-the-top bombastic. The Zeppoles were really good, but we remember the ones at Dee Best stand were better than those at Lucy's. Danette was not a fan of the fried Rainbow cookie, but i kind of liked it. 😀 Of course you know we love to talk about "bootleg Mister Softie" trucks. 🤣🤣🤣 You know how Danette feels about them selling 7 dollar Tasters Choice at Christmas time! 🤣 As always, thank you so much for this cool commentary, and your amazing continued support for us, Freddy. @@DanetteandAnthony I know, my god. This heat can kill you if you're not safe and have plenty of water. Glad Willamburg is close, I would love to see you both make a pizza with that dough. I have tried New Orleans Zeppoles when I travel there with family years ago. They really put on the powdered sugar there, I mean, there is so much powdered sugar that it leaks from the bag. As for the bootleg Mr Softy trucks (God bless Danette, you can never pull a fast one on her) they will never carry the nostalgia or the feeling of seeing the big ice cream cone face on the side of the truck with the iconic music. You can see that Mr Softy truck in the middle of 8 Inc of snow during the worst winter imaginable and it will still put a Smile on my face cause that truck represents a feeling of good times and being safe in your neighborhood. No bootleg Mr Softy truck will ever capture that feeling for me. Thank you guys for going out in that extreme weather for us to share this wonderful yet way too crowded festival and thank you guys with your kindness and generosity with your time. Thanks for the blessing of Frank, I could use some artesian Ice Cubes for my drinks in this hot weather and please stay safe and hydrated. MST3K FOREVER
