This is nothing like last year the Bruins overachieved and Florida won the presidents cup the year before and had just as good a team if not better not to mention their numbers weren't bad either goal differential ect. This would be a huge upset and i don't see the Caps winning much at all in the series I don't see them scoring much either. Game 1 for the Caps is almost a must to make it a series.

I think overachieved is difficult to gauge considering they did in fact set an NHL record however I do agree that this series will be a tough one for the Capitals to win. The first game will certainly set the tone for the entire series and I think if the Rangers can win Game 1 this series will end up a slaughtering.

Rangers are more versatile team this year. Chytil coming back would be huge if he slides on the first line. Now Caps are really hard team to play against - trap, trap and big and nasty. I hope Rangers can get over it being a Rangers fan! Lol at David and Goliath cause I am so used to it being the other way for years... Weird year where Pens didn't make it and Caps barely made it.

Oh 100%! The Caps are built for the playoffs but in many ways, so are the Rangers. I don't see the Caps giving the Rangers too many problems however I do believe that this is gonna be a good series nonetheless. Certainly is different eh? So used to the Pens and Capitals going mono on mono for the Metro/East. Next year maybe...
