Defrauding an innkeeper is a very old law, now called "theft of services". That happened with a dine and dash in my restaurant years ago. The police went to their house (I got the license plate) and arrested them.

I went to a restaurant one time and when the bill came I realized I left my wallet at home. This was before everyone had cell phones. I explained the situation to them and asked to use their phone. It was embarrassing, especially being I was on a first date. She sat calmly and didn't say anything. I called a few numbers and eventually got a hold of a buddy of mine who went to my house, grabbed my spare hidden key, grabbed my wallet and then drove my wallet to me. Taken care of without crying and whining. Later that night me and that girl was talking and she mentioned that she had her own wallet and could have paid for the meal. But she explained she opted to see how it played out. We ended up dating for more than 3 years and almost got married. BTW, that was many years ago, so long ago in fact that the meal costed like $5 for the both of us.

Defrauding an Inn Keeper is a common charge in Myrtle Beach during black bike week. The brothers and sisters walk out on bills all the time. They are always caught as this place is jam packed and there is no where to drive to. I was behind a young woman one time when she was $6 short to pay her bill. She was obviously embarrassed. She was deciding what not to take. I told the woman at the register I'd pony up the $6. The young lady said, no I can't ask you to do that. I said, you didn't ask me. I gave the $6 to the cashier and the woman thank me and left quickly. Had she had the attitude of this clown I never would have helped her. This woman is crazy. They should take her for a three day eval.
