Mental Health Services in the ABM University Health Board area are undergoing major modernisation -- both in terms of huge investments in new buildings, and how we provide the services themselves.
Ysbryd y Coed cost approximately £18m and will be operational from May 2012. The design of the 3 x20 bedded wards incorporates the latest evidence for creating an ideal environment for people with dementia and will replace existing outdated facilities at Cefn Coed and Garngoch Hospitals.
The wards will provide a range of therapeutic areas including dedicated therapy rooms and will greatly enhance the privacy and dignity for patients and their families.
