Are you wondering how to get a 2022 resident visa in New Zealand? Want to know about Visa categories and how to obtain them?
In order to get a permanent New Zealand residence, you’ll first need to receive a New Zealand resident visa. These resident visas are available for skilled workers, immediate family members reunification, distinguished talent, investors, and more. The permanent resident visa can allow you permanent residence status, however, there is a period of two, five, or ten years in which you are allowed to travel freely from New Zealand.
After this initial period and the resident visa expired you should apply for a permanent New Zealand resident visa (PRV).
To be eligible to become a permanent resident, you must have been living in New Zealand for at least two years, have met the conditions of your initial visa, and have shown a commitment to New Zealand.

All I'll say is that there's basically no jobs, high crime, high taxes, almost entire suburbs in the South Island that are empty (except for a handful of families) all year because the properties are almost all foreign owned, still even with their closed border (except to Australia) policy have some of the hardest restrictions - still requiring mandatory jabs and masks even though they have basically no cases, and then you have to consider that most kiwi's have moved to Australia prior to all this and never gone back to NZ. That should tell you everything you need to know.

Even as an Australian, where it is so easy to go to NZ na slice there permanently- I don’t think I would want to do that. Would much rather go to Bali. New Zealand is just like Tasmania in Australia in terms of lifestyle and climate. I mean I think it is a bit better than Australia but overall way too similar

The only real advantage of moving there as an Australian is they give you the choice not to pay taxes on non NZ income for the first 4 years but you'd want your income from a low tax country, Australia screws non residents 30%+ tax on income from there. As long as you don't have a bad criminal record you can move there as an Australian for 2 years to get permanent residency.

If one obtains a 10 year Permanent Residents Permit in New Zealand …. The permit has to be renewed when your overseas passport expires. Is there a minimum amount of time that you must have spent in NZ in order for that permit to be renewed? Keep in mind that your passport may happen to expire at any time during the validity period of the NZ Permanent Residents permit. The validity period of each are in no way liked to the other. What if you weren’t in NZ for a number of years, would that be a problem when you came to renew?

The craze for New Zealand is motivated by the rather apocalyptic view that in a doomsday scenario it will be the safe place to be. Most likely such a scenario will not play out in your life time and if it does no place will be safe. If you want to be far away from mankind in a SHTF scenario choose Uruguay as a more more practical and affordable alternative. All that said New Zealand is great for one vacation IBA lifetime. It is a beautiful place.

I’ve grown up here, its a beautiful place, the government/system here is not. TAX is out the gate. It feels like pretty much every aspect of life is taxed. Its expensive man. We pay more for the products in our country then where we export themp too. We are big enough and ‘westernised’ enough, but small enough to buy a voice and political power and be experimented on. Like right now nz is basically a guniea pig state for the UN and WEF agendas etc. Jacinda openly stated this too. They are really taking advantage of the laid back ’she’ll be right’ culture. Pay in the tech scene on average is poo too. Also considering we are rated as one of having the most demand/ in a shortage of devs. Passport is powerfull though and friendly with most countries. Although i feel like this sentment is changing. I love My kāinga of Aotearoa (my ancestral lands) but do not like new zealand, aka the government. Alot of people dont realise that New Zealand was formed from the New Zealand Company, which sold and promoted moving here to british families as a better life. Yet the didnt have or own land for them when they got here. The history of new zealand is built of pirates really haha. The government is built off of this Illlegitimacy. definitely looking for a dual citizenship within the next few years in prep for the future. Ps. @@chrisj8764 That’s ok. But the data doesn’t support your view. Crime is way up. Health and education outcomes are way down. Productivity data is clearly poor and has not been getting better. Do you run a business from New Zealand? It’s way less productive than being located somewhere closer to the major markets. Cost of living is way higher than the benefits received.

For residency, consider Albania. Henderson himself has featured small apartments one can buy near the beach for $30K, in the last year. And purchase gains permanent residency. Since Albania will join the EU within 10 years, your investment will grow. (I’m looking at Southwest Albania, sloes to Corfu and Greece. Also, search North Cyprus. The water is warmer at the beach and because it’s part of Turkey, suffering inflation, good quality living with foreign currency is inexpensive. And it is easy to gain annual residency.

nonsense NZ is a small country in the middle of nowhere and for that a lot of companies don't even provide services down there, services that you have in third world countries like Mexico and US. So it feels like a third world country in that regard, people there are very cult-like minded and against wealth and specially if that person is also old. Ireland is better, a lot of countries in the Mediterranean are better and also think that even Uruguay is much better, dowb there you have much better people, foods, weather, culture. This program is targeted to people from China and India that want to get out of their countries and they don't know any better, same with the Canadian investment program.
