AUCKLAND NEW ZEALAND July 14, 2023. The Royal New Zealand Air Force predecessor, the New Zealand Permanent Air Force was established in Wigram 100 years ago on June 14, 1923. This video covers my photos of events at Whenuapai Air Base now called Base Auckland.

ER, thank you! I do miss the days before PR was transferred from Bases to WGTN. Prior to that I would get invites from Whenuapai and the Devonport Naval Base PR guys to cover exciting events such as these, cheers, Mike

I used to work for McDonnell Douglas aircraft company. I worked in the parts department for the C-17 fuselage/CARGO AREA..ALL 70 FEET OF IT. I have worked in all depts including the warehouse. I must have seen about 70 of these girls flyaway. USAFvet. AGE MECH.
