You try creating a roller delayed blow back rifle for less. The amount of precise machining and tooling required to make it happen is insane. Thats really the only reason why they never took off. But ide like to see this thing in comparison to the pof piston line, or cz Bren 2 or even the b&t apc 556. Im willing to bet it will be one of the best shooters on the market while reducing the forward weight on the platform, making it easier to handle for longer broods of time. Also rollerdelayed blow back is arguably the beast system for suppressed shooting as the bolt regulates the pressure naturally with how it operates. Great firearms that operate reliably, accuratly and shoot soft don’t come cheap. If it’s not worth it to you.. that’s fine… but than again you probably also buy the Kroger brand cheese instead of imported craft cheeses found in your local deli.

Super cool, but $2500 bucks? That is just way too much, I'm sure this rifle shoots smooth as can be and it's something new, refreshing, but lets be real, this rifle wont out-perform a $700 milspec AR at the local gun store. This is the issue with these cool new rifles, they are priced so high that it doesn't make any sense and just fades away into being discontinued after a handful of years. People used to give new platforms a chance, like the AK, FAL, HK91/93, etc. because they were A. Cheap, or B. Similarly priced. for $2500 I can go get some gucci AR from KAC or the like.
@@rabbitholereviews Sure I guess you can buy it just for the sake of having something different. But, like I said, it will become discontinued after a few hundred people buy them, and then the company will be left with a bad taste in their mouth after deviating from the "market-trends". I think a better approach to this is trying to bring back cold-war era preban rifles, like the FNC from Pindad arms. That's something that will most likely fly off the shelves. It's a shame because I really love to see new things come to market but I'm just being brutally honest. I genuinely hope this rifle is a huge success for them.
If I’m going to get a roller delayed 5.56, I’d rather get the PTR 63 when it comes out. That is closer to an HK style rifle. Don’t want something so modern because might as well get an AR.
Youre basically just paying for the operating system on a more modular platform rather than the PTR 63, which is a lot more difficult to configure well.
You clearly don’t know the difference between roller delayed blow pack and direct impingement. And also aren’t very aware of zeniths quality control over ptr. Besides ptr has had the 63 coming soon for like 2 years now. They were supposed to release it last year in June. And we are now in 2024. There’s something wrong there.
Just make a fucking HK93/33 design that takes stanag mags! People want an affordable way to run their sears in 556 and it would sell like hotcakes. Are these companies blind??
It's not that easy and always comes with its own set of problems. The G41 clone PTR is putting out (called the PTR-63 or something) is the next best thing.
Doesn't look terrible, but it reminds me of how twitter artists from countries where there are little to no guns draw an AR/M4 where it makes the person holding it look 4ft tall
The HK style charging handle wasn't even a good idea 50yrs ago. It is a horrible idea in this age of clip on thermals and IR lasers. It really interferes with anything you would put on your top rail. I really wonder about the viability of a weapons company who hasn't figured that out by now.
@@BurstReview There's that and the likelihood that a lot of people would freak when they saw how steep Hk33 mags are. I also don't know if anyone is still making them aside from HK now and then.
Imagine an Iphone but loaded with Xiaomi's proprietary Android-OS alternative. This is what this rifle feels like. It's a solution to a question nobody has asked.
If people like the feel of an AR-15... They're going to BUY an AR-15... If they like the feel of a HK-93... They're going to BUY an HK-93... Nobody wants or needs both in one...
I've been talking up Zenith every chance I get after buying one of their American-made MP5 clones two years ago. I can't emphasize enough how nice it is. MUCH nicer than the "real" H&K SP5s I looked at before going with the Zenith. I was so happy with my ZF-5 when I got it that I went out and bought one of their MP5K clones as well. They released those maybe six months after I got my ZF-5. Now I'm disgusted with them. I'm furious that they chose to make THIS useless turd over an HK33 clone. NOBODY wants something like this. NOBODY! Meanwhile I spent the whole last year looking forward to both the HK33 and G3 clones that these LIARS claimed they were looking to introduce "in early 2024". I held off buying a PTR because I wanted to give Zenith my business for a G3 clone instead. And I've wanted an HK33 clone for YEARS. I even bought a bunch of Turkish-made HK33 mags over the last year to prepare for the arrival of the Zenith HK33 clone. I figured those mags would become more difficult to find in stock once the rifle came out. And now I discover I did all that for nothing because they aren't even going to make an HK33 clone anymore. Not only that, but the price of PTR G3 clones have gone up like $300 a piece since this time last year. So I held off on buying one to give Zenith my business and they screwed me. All to make yet ANOTHER AR-15 variant. One that NOBODY is going to buy because everything on it is proprietary crap that doesn't interchange with a real AR-15. What the hell were these guys thinking with this? THREE YEARS of development time and money they wasted on this? Unreal.
