My THIRD baby boy is here and I have all new tips and tricks to share for life with a newborn! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HI41Tcr9Dqk.html
I have severe depression & ptsd, I’m due in about 3 weeks. This is the first video that actually calmed me & made me feel like I’m alittle ready for this journey. Thank you
@Villaaaa_ I am 29 weeks pregnant and also have PTSD. I am in treatment and trying to heal as much as possible before becoming a mom. How was your birth? Were you able to find a trauma-informed provider/Dr/midwife/doula? Hope all is well.
my older sister just found out she is pregnant at 18... so me being the supportive sister i am i want to be prepared to help her and her boyfriend at all costs. this video is so helpful.
"You're the mom, You are in charge!" Thank you for saying this! When I was younger my mom trusted a doctor too much and it scarred me emotionally for a long long time. YOU know what is best for your baby, trust your gut and be strong. Plus your child will learn from your example and grow up with good boundaries and self respect. You can do it!
I like it when you say, “it’s just a few short days” and “you’re the mom now, you’re in charge”. You are definitely right, at the end of the day we are the one who take care our babies. You’re awesome, Thank you for sharing ❤️
I'm not even Jewish and I found your video so helpful for me a first time mom I'm due in 6 weeks ! Can't wait to show my husband this video it will be super helpful for us!!! Thank you
I’m pregnant with my first child- we found out that it’s a boy and we quickly decided to call him Corey... every time you said Corey it made me smile. This video is very helpful! I’m watching millions of videos and have been since I found out I’m pregnant :)
I'm actually relieved I'm not the only one! Like, I still feel like I don't know how to adult. Just earlier today, I punched myself in the chest trying to fold compression socks. I still have no idea how that happened.
@@feliciagoughenour7979 hahah i have a listed of things i should know how to do but still don't lmao, you're pretty much my sister from another mister or a long lost twin
My baby girl is 3 days old! The past nights have been rough because she is cluster feeding 😴. She loves 💕 her white noise machine. The nurse introduced me to swaddling while feeding! It works really helps them fall asleep straight after feeding! My baby really calms down when she is swaddled! 👶 I also do the same tip with the night time changing. My baby calms right down when she is positioned on my chest and her legs are like frog 🐸 legs! I highly recommended this type of hold! My hubby loves sitting on the excersise ball and calming down our baby! I love wearing him because it means she falls straight asleep and wont cry unless shes hungry or has a dirty diaper! We haven’t given our daughter a proper bath yet because she is only a few days old. We have mittens but she hates wearing them, so we dont use them to much. AND ZIPPER ONESIES ARE LIFE! I dont think I could deal without my zipper onesies, I highly reccomend having lots of comfortable clothes, during the first few days you just want your baby to be comfortable. I have a calm peaceful home as its just my husband and I there. We do have two dogs 🐕 but they are super gentle with her, bur we never leave her unattended with the dogs just in case. She is latching ok and she is starting to stop cluster feeding which is a relief! I hope this helps newmums I have said a lot but if you have any advice please reply to this comment!
As an auntie not having kids, I'll be coming back to your channel over and over again. Thank you for this, I'm always trying to look out for mom's self care and mental health. By watching this, I can give my cousins who are moms the breaks they need when I'm called to. There's no manual when it comes to being a parent, and this is the closest thing to it, thank you!
This is genuinely the most useful newborn video I have ever seen. It's my due date today and I'm so ready for her to be here but the tips about sleep, crying and baths are incredibly useful. Thank you!
Super helpful! My son is 12 days old and he’s my first baby and I’ve been needing some of these! Especially just letting him cry to pull myself together!
So helpful! We’re expecting our first next week and I’m desperately trying to mentally prepare for having a newborn! I haven’t heard a lot of these tips but they make so much sense. Love this !
@@aw3271 so excited for you!! I have one up if it's helpful for you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FOsdseQb0ZM.html You can just do it in the hospital if there's no mohel and have a party afterwards, that is tough!
Omg my wife and I have a baby due the 11th of December and she is our first! I had no idea about 90% or the stuff you have in your videos ! You have been so helpful to me!!!!! (She’s “says” she knew most of this) but I knew mostly none! You are wonderful!
I just had my son 4 weeks ago tomorrow and I’ve came to realize that changing and swaddling them before feeding at night time is a REAL saver lol. It makes that process just so much simpler. Everything else on here is awesome to know! Sadly, I don’t have the snoo but I’m definitely purchasing a white noise thing for night time. He loves noise so I’m betting it’ll help!
What a wonderful video! I’m expecting my first in 6 weeks in the midst of a pandemic so feeling extra anxious! and although I’ve had some experience caring for newborns you simply don’t know until you’re a mommy! everything you said was sooo helpful! I truly appreciate the tip on how to ask people to wash their hands and your empowering words “you’re in charge”
Aww thank you so much! You sound like you have just the right mindset I'm wishing you all the very best and hope your anxiety can relax and you can just enjoy the beautiful newborn days!
Wow! This is one of the most practical and informative videos on newborn care I've watched. I'm giving birth (1st baby) in less than 3 weeks. Thank you for this! This makes me feel a little more confident.
If your baby is in the NICU and has wires connected to them the button up sleepers are great. The zippers are soo efficient though for when they finally come home. ☺
- white noise machine - swaddle - keep diaper stuff handy - hold the baby sideways - 45 degree and shake tush - bouncy ball - go outside - wear the baby - keep a cloth on baby when bathing - skin to skin - make baby wear socks as mittens - get zipper onesies instead of buttons - record nursing times etc in notes - let them cry(10:00 hear more) - does it all blanket - get people to wash their hands
I’m due with my first baby at the end of August and this video was so helpful. Because of COVID I especially appreciate your last tip about stating what I want, but in a not so awkward way. My husband’s side of the family is already making it seem like they will be seeing the baby right away and at all times (this includes his extended family 😬) and I’m so happy I can advocate for myself and baby in a way that’s comfortable for me! One day I hope to be more stern and this is a great way to transition into that. Thank you!❤️
I had to do this today with my husbands family. 🙋🏻♀️ This is baby #3 and I straight up said how I felt (in an honest but straightforward way). I’m so glad I did.❤️ Great video!
Both of your boys are so handsome. I'm a great grandma now. I had my babies in 1967 & 1968. I wish someone had told me about the swaddle and how to hold them in a secure way, like you did. Hopefully when I get to see my great grand babies I'll get to use all the wonderful things that you talk about. Thanks
You were so right on with everything after having my baby for 3 weeks wow. It does seem so exhausting that the swaddling nursing and comforting will never end,it almost makes me feel like I can’t enjoy the baby and it won’t ever end.
Hi there, Thanks for the tips. I stay with my newborn home in the morning and afternoon while my wife works and I work in the evening. As a father, this is very helpful!
Aww you are so welcome! So cool to hear about a dad splitting time like this, I'm sure these newborn days will be ones you'll remember and treasure forever!
I'm currently 5months with my first. It's a baby girl. I absolutely LOVED the video! I have a lot of momxiety (mom anxiety) so hearing that it's perfectly okay to tell people "Wash your hands" and to just do whatever feels right for the baby, I needed to hear that. Also, I LOVED the big blanket for every situation lol. That's definitely easier than trying to keep up with 3 or 4 little ones!
I'm already a mother about to have my second child. Just wanted to refresh my head lol but this is such an informative video.. you got a new subscriber !!
What a super cute baby❣️ what an awesome mother❣️ skin to skin is very important, very good for them. Also they say at nights if babies keep waking, put a worn mother's t-shirt next to the baby, her smell makes them feel she's near & comforting , thus they sleep better.
Thanks for the Tips! Yes, onesies with zippers! Our 2 month old daughter loves looking at lights, so she has her own Light chain, where she can look at, while she is awake.
Loved your video! My newborn is five weeks old and we are definitely dealing with the ups and downs of that. Great tips here! And it’s always a good reminder that this will only last for a few days and after that who knows when we will have days like this again if ever. And our little boy is so worth it after trying for eight years I know we will miss these days a little. ❤👶🏻🙌🏼🌈
Super comprehensive video, thanks for the tips. My baby is 4 weeks old and I use Sense-U baby monitor to track his breathing, rollover and body temp directly on my smartphone. Hope it helps we moms!
Surprisingly, we've all adjusted really well ! Its amazing to see my 2 oldest interact with their new baby sister. Its incredible. Of course its alot of work, but it's also the best and most rewarding job in the world, as you know !
I'm due in 4 weeks and I've been really anxious about family members visiting late when baby arrives and about asking them to sanitize their hands or not being able to hold baby when they just smoked. Thank you for calming me down ... I'm totally going to say when I'm not happy with something 🙂.
Oh my goodness yes I definitely encourage moms to practice standing up for themselves and their kids for the first time when the baby comes and make sure your needs are taken care of! Sending you all the best!
@@MyJewishMommyLife Unfortunately my baby was stillborn at a full 39 weeks so I didn't get to have these moments. I do not wish this experience on anyone.
4:20-4:25 when you say, "Right, Cory?" and he smiles 😍❤️. Adorable! Loved all the tips. I'm a new mommy-to-be, due in late August. Thank you for this video! ❤️
My doc said it is important that the baby grabs you by the back and front when nursing, so I wouldn't swaddle it while nursing but a cool 5 second swaddle could help a lot to make that part easier
Thank you, Marion, for these excellent tips! My daughter is expecting her first baby and is now overdue and thinking the baby will never arrive. I will share this video with her so she will have this info once he inevitably does. 😘
I'm a soon to be mom and this video was so pleasant to watch! It also gave me confidence and positivity that I'll do just fine with a newborn. Thank you for that! I 'would like to note though that many pediatricians do not recommend swaddling the baby during feeding because baby's free hands stroking and squeezing mommy 's breasts stimulate milk production somehow. Anyway, every parent knows what is best for his family and if you say that swaddling helped you, who am I to doubt it?
Swaddling as a whole is harmful, it contributes heavily to infant dysautonomia. Swaddling exists to mimic being held and babies have a literal biological need to be held to maintain autonomous function.
I will be a 3rd time mom come november and I've got to say this video is very helpful for first time moms and dads but also if it has been a while sence you've had a newborn! Great tips! God bless you and your sweet baby!
Thank you so much for this I just had my son he’s a week old and I forgot what sleep is 😂...I swear the best thing invented for baby is the diaper caddy helps with those nightly changes you definitely gave some helpful tips 🙏🏽
All my friends that have had kids they never say that about the shower. That was such good advice because I was literally thinking I would have to jump out if they cried while I showered ❤️❤️ thank you
I’m watching this 4 years later to gain tips to help my daughter after the birth of her daughter. ( It’s been awhile for me). I really appreciate the wonderful tips and examples you give. On a side note, I would like to tell you that I am a Christian and pray for God’s chosen people every day including the IDF, hostages and families. My 92 year old mother put a “ This house stands with Israel” sign in her yard. We are praying for the peace of Jerusalem and for all the beautiful Jewish people. May God bless you and your family.
