The girls are so sweet! I wanted to share that the “wasted breastmilk” is also great to add to their baths. Similar to what you mentioned, it helps heal the skin
Using a wipeable changing pad is really great too because they make ones that are cute or “aesthetic” but also easy to clean and don’t create more waste. Not for everyone but I personally can’t justify washing pad sheets constantly but also cannot justify the waste that puppy pads would create! Just something to think about ❤️😊
That intro 😍 its so sweet seeing the progress of your personal life through your intro!!! I’m here, making notes for items to buy.. while not pregnant, not even engaged 🤣! I swear.. a lot of my favorite RU-vidrs while pregnant have made these videos, and by now, after watching a bazillion of them, I think I’ll be better equipped when my time comes (or so I’d like to think, but I know that you never know and everyone is different). Idk what our moms did back then.. just flying by the seat of their pants! Haha
Soon to be a mother. also I would highly recommend Life Vac for every parent. Mine is in my dipper bag. It’s just in case haven forbids your child getting choked on something. Hope you’ll never have to use it, but if you do it’s better to have one then not having it and you need one.
If you are in Canada, west coast kids have awesome box sampler sets for baby gifts; There is one for bottles, pacifiers and swaddle sleepers. It’s so you can try a different brand and figure out what your baby likes.
I've heard that if you put the fresh diaper under baby first when you go to change their diaper that can help with messes. Just in case you didn't want to keep using puppy pads
I bought all of the items you listed on your video. Here is my rating/recommendations: The play mat was used by them for bating at toys during months 3-4 exclusively. I didn’t use the ice cubes at all. The head pillow was useful for the first two months while they were spitting up. The pacifiers were great. It calmed my babies down during the first two months. I recommend them 100%. I didn’t use the breastfeeding drops. The noise maker was completely unnecessary and expensive. I wish I would of just bought a small $10 radio. The kimono onesies were very hard to find but were helpful during the first month. I say stick with pjs for babies. The booggie tool, I recommend it 100%. The postpartum underwear also recommend it 100%. I drank regular coffee with milk after they were 4 months. I was gifted the diaper Geanie and it has been great. I got a regular thermometer for measuring the water and worked just fine. My babies didn’t want to sleep in anything but those loungers when we bought them and it was hard on their bodies since we have a wooden floor. I wish I would of thought about buying a carpet to go underneath but I didn’t think about that until they graduated from them. We got gifted a Graco infant swing. It was a lifesaver. I recommend it 100%. I couldn’t use the baby carriers too much because I’m short and slim and my babies were big and fat. I got a regular backpack for my diaper bag and it worked just fine. The stroller was our last purchase and we got the Graco twin stroller that uses two car seats. I recommend it 100%. I got the Halo swaddles, it worked miracles for us!! Never used the humidifier or the rocking chair. I got a plastic changing mat from Target. It was the best purchase. I wish I had the money for the air purifier, our apartment was very dusty, my babies had buggies almost every day. We didn’t buy the cameras because we didn’t need them.
such great feedback!! I’m so happy a lot of the items worked for you as they did for us 🤍 there are a lot of affordable air purifiers out there (I agree this one is expensive!) thank you for watching + for leaving this helpful comment
Ahhhh the new intro!! Love 🥰 also, FYI, I love how long your videos are. I enjoy watching tv length RU-vid videos that I can just enjoy, take in the awesome content, and eat a snack! 😂
the new intro omg!!! i love it ❤️ I am definitely going to sit down and take notes of all these recommendations once i’m expecting, thank you for sharing!
Look at this mamma ! Can you believe she had twins ? I can’t ! Anyways, thanks for this vid it’s great for grandmas like me also not just the mammas !! ❤️
great vid!! only thing, that head pillow is not the best/safest because it restricts movement aka they cant turn their heads while they sleep. giving full range of motion available to them as much as possible is not only good for them but necessary for certain muscles to develop but more importantly certain protective reflexes can be shut down if babies cant move they way they need. look up moro, stnr, atnr, etc, moro reflex actually wakes babies out of their sleep potentially to prevent sids in sleep
Hi Courtney i just so absolutely love all of your beautiful videos so very very much you are such the most sweetest beautiful gorgeous woman ever in the whole wide world i love you Courtney.
oh no! it must be discontinued but here’s a link to basically the same pillow we have Newborn Baby Support Pillow,Toddler Anti-roll Sleeping Pillow,Baby Breathable Pillow a.co/92yVxmY
Loved this so helpful! My Twins will be here any day now. Just curious with the carriers did you have your husband both have a solly and the more structured for each? Did you find that useful or needed? I have one of each right now. Also when were you able to baby wear with your incision (scheduled c section over here). The monitor I have too it needs to be so far away! How did you guys set it up on a wall or bureau? We’ve been testing it out and I can’t seem to figure it out. Sorry for all the questions appreciate you!
hi there EEEP you must be getting so excited! sending you lots of love as your due date approaches mumma 🤍 so I definitely think having one of each is great! the solly is definitely a carrier that allows your babe to feel a bit more connected to you, but there’s not a need to have them both experiencing that at the same time.. I think one and one is fine! the recommendation for baby wraps is to wait until the babes are like 8 pounds so my girls didn’t reach that for about 8 weeks postpartum so I was totally recovered then. I’d ask your doctor to be safe! As for our monitors we have them on floating shelves in the nursery for now!
@@courtneycapano thank you so much! I so appreciate all your insight I don’t have many twin mamas in my life so I truly appreciate all your videos being just a few months ahead of me 🤍🤍.
Love your videos ! I am a twin mama too! But I have boy / girl twins. They are 5 months old. I am also exclusively pumping. And we have the Dagne Dover diaper backpack and love it! Would love a video on your pumping journey if that’s something you are willing to share.
Ahh congrats on your sweet babes and on pumping for 5 months, that is incredible! I may share my pumping journey eventually if it's helpful to others, that's a good idea thank you
@@courtneycapano I’d also like that because I might have to tandem nurse my babies. I’d like to direct breastfeed them but might have to pump a bit too.
As a first time pregnant mom, it really bothers me when these videos are labeled "essential"... none of these items are absolutely necessary for raising a baby. They are all just helpful or make life more convenient.
I agree with you! Absolutely only buy what you think is necessary for your lifestyle. A lot of creators put “essentials haul” to find the right audience. My hope is that people use their own judgement to buy what’s right for them 💛
