He looks so much like my baby! her mother was luckily taken in before she gave birth, and saw me as a saftey and was very adamant on using my LAP as safety when she went in labor O_o My baby Eevee was born in my lap! I found good homes for the other kittens, and got momma and daughter spayed even though I planed on keeping them indoors. The momma cat, Ronja, passed at about 11 years old. The baby is soon 12! Of all my 30+ pets she is the only one I've had longer than 1.5 years, but she will always be my baby =^_^= When I lost Ronja, and my other rescue cat Murre (8 years old) I joined a local rescue group for a while, but had to stop cause I kept keeping them =P I did rehome a good number as well, but there was so many I couldn't let go of!
It used to be in America that men could love dogs, but a man who loved cats was somehow not okay. Clearly things have changed. People who rescue animals and take good care of them get good karma.

sometimes the moms will leave their young and sick away from the litter if they know they arent going to make it- like a sixth sense. but i commend you for trying to revive this tiny tiny baby. hunanity lives on in the likes of you
:( my husband found three new born kittens where he works ...he took two of them to the human society and brought one cute female to me, I was really happy ...I was taking good care of her. Bought her a heating pad so she can be warm ,was feeding her every 1 hour even in the middle of the night ....she was fine for the first 2 days and I was extra happy with her , to me she was like my little baby..but the 3rd..day suddenly she stared presenting with declining activity level,decrease appetite and rectal hemorrhage .....:( and 10 hours later she passed.....:( now I'm super sad, and I miss her so much ,..
Thank you for all that you do!!!! We just rescued a 4 month old mama kitten about 6 weeks before she gave birth. It's been amazing watching the whole process. My heart breaks for little kitties that don't have their mommas or anyone to take care of them. Anyway.....I just wanted to say thank you.

Aww poor thing! I actually had 3 stray cats outside. Theirs more but they aren't human friendly. One had kittens. 4 black ones 1 tiger one. We kept the tiger one because he was the first one to come up to us. Afterwards I ended up finding out that one of my stray cats got hit by a car. I was balling in tears for like a month. My dad said he saw a black cat in the road. The one we think got ran over hasn't been around since june 8-10 ish? I still cry. I understand the feeling of losing a furry friend. Its depressing :(
I possibly had the BEST luck when it came to baby kitten rescue. I was outside one day, when I saw my cat Jar Jar Binks running down the stairs across the street carrying something black. I thought it was a dead bird or mouse, so I chased after Jar Jar to make him drop it. When he reached the stairs leading into our backyard, the animal he was carrying let out a squeak, indicating it was alive. When I DID get Jar Jar to drop it, I saw it was a very young kitten, eyes and ears still closed. The next few weeks my family and I became Mommy Kitty to the absolutely adorable kitten which my father named Biscuit, much to my displeasure since I wanted to name the baby. After renaming Biscuit to Khan, ( we saw the new Star Trek movie, ) we found out Khan was a girl! She is still alive and healthy today.
oh man. I bet you'd get upset revisiting this video. I had a very similar experience once and ended up bringing the poor, motherless little guy to our "no kill" shelter here in Windsor, Ontario. I had a really hard time feeding the dude (I'd bought a little bottle for baby cats and got some formula from the pet store) but I just couldn't get him to recognize it. when he got to the vet, the woman there immediately put the bottle up to him and he drank like a fish. I do hope everything turned out well. good on you dude. well done - you did all you could and that's all we can expect of ourselves though (I know) it sometimes feels like we could/should have done more.

Rising a baby kitten is hard work. I did it and damn it was tuff. Waking every two hours to fed and help use bathroom and clean. But wow is it such a great feeling watching them grow :) Sadly my girl passed and it still hard to think about. May been a kitty but I was her mother till the end. RIP Freddy.
**Update. Unfortunately, this little boy caught a nasty infection, I noticed at his noon time feeding that his anus looked a bit raw and red, I put ointment on it and put him down for 2 hours. When I got him up again at 2Pm he was lethargic and wouldn't eat; so I layed down and watched TV with him on my chest. I picked him up to look @ him a half hour later and there was blood coming out of his genitals and anus. I rushed him to the emergency vet, and they put him on an antibiotic. Held him for about another 3 hours and then he passed. Moral of the story is that these kittens pass unexpectedly; and there's usually nothing you can do about it. Don't feel too bad if a kitten that you are surrogating passes on you. The mortality rate is quite high for these poor little guys. All you can do is your best.
Need to burp kittens after feeding. Although baby kitty didn't make it, I applaud your efforts for trying. He even had a little white outline of a heart on his forehead.
The kitten was covered in mud and what not. I'm sorry, but whomever put a helpless little creature like this into a situation like that is unfathomably evil. How could anyone not like this little thing. No wonder Jesus wept. And top marks for giving it a home sir. I salute you.
I have a cat in my backyard who just gave birth to 3 baby kittens 2 days ago as well. They are so adorable. And then there's the mom's cat 3 month old sibling whose in the backyard as well. I've been feeding the mom since she was a kitten last year, so ever since they've just been in my backyard sleeping there comfortable. I caught the mom cat mating 3 months ago twice, so I knew she was pregnant when I saw her stomach getting bigger. My mom said I have to stop feeding them or they'll keep reproducing and not want to leave, but what's funny is I don't like cats, but I love kittens, but I've grown attached to them from them being in the backyard all the time although I've never touched them or let them in the house, except for the 3 month old kitten, but he's always eager to leave anyway, lol.
I'm so sorry baby didn't make it. I can understand the pain you felt, I felt it too when a little kitten I tried to save died on me. Just know you've shown baby some hope and love before he passed on.
I found a newborn kitten with its umbilical cord today. I want to know what's the first thing I should do with it??? I can't take it to the vet right now maybe tomorrow but not now! So PLEASE HELP ASAP. I also want to know if it will scratch me? Cause it has sharp nails. It's hot here where I live cause its summer and it's really hot does it still need a heating pad right now?
i found before 4 days a 3 abandoned kittens, the forth was already dead near of them. it was raining when i found them they're underweight and sick. i lost two of them on 2 days in a row and the 3rd one is beside me now and i hope he makes it :(
