When I had my youngest my oldest was 3 and he tried to breastfeed and it scared me so bad I pushed him away and he started crying 😫😫 poor baby lol but no way that was going to happen
😂 love the roasting on videos that are sent in… you guys are hilarious. Found y’all about week ago and been bindge listening and have turned my friends and family onto you guys! ❤
30:47 , my hubby and I are going on 9 years of marriage and have not hit a “rough patch”. (Post-partum was the hardest, but didn’t last long). I wish people would stop saying those types of things to others. Marriage & parenting has not been perfect, but we made a decision to enjoy every stage (and have select strong role models around us for advice and prayer!😉)
You guys had me laughing out loud right off the bat with the breast milk stuff. My favorite was hearing Derek’s chuckle during it all. He knows, naturally.
Me getting Dave Ramsey and Tony Robbins’ faces mixed up in my brain and thinking during the whole video clip that y’all just accidentally pulled up a video of a random Dave Ramsey 😂
Is this Trey's 2nd accident in the past few pods... the other day he bumped someone at stoplight now backed in to someone... Katie take his keys for a week 😂
I didn’t realize the “morning glory” was the punchline🤣 my first thought was it was some type of lavender/ flower flavored muffin😅 I kept waiting for the punch line🤣
Huge fan here :) Just an fyi: y’all’s stuff is not popping up on my feed anymore. I am subscribed and hit the like button on all of the videos I watch of y’all’s. Weird… Thank you guys for not conforming!!!
1 - I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much during a podcast….thank you for that! 2 - Favorite Sheltered Church-Kid moment? I remember being so jealous of my friends “cool” older siblings who would wonder around our old church during youth group and “break in” to locked doors with a credit card. The biggest scandals were when they tp’d our youth group leaders office (with some sort of pop-explosive that was triggered when he opened his drawer) and getting all the way up into the bat-filled (rafter climbing) bell tower. #Rebels Truthfully though, so grateful for that sheltered life. ;)
I LOVED the sheltered kid bit about not drinking underage but trespassing and stealing public property instead. Going to college in a small town, my friends and I would go walk around an old furniture factory that had burned down, climbed out onto the dam and one time climbed on top of an abandoned H-E-B for fun. I love knowing that y'all had similar experiences!! 🤣
Please do more “parent trivia” segments! 🤣 Trey, I was blessed with very good babies as well, but always felt bad talking about them because people didn’t want to hear the good. 🤷🏻♀️ The beautiful thing about being part of the parenting community is that all of the sudden, you have a massive group of people that understands what it’s like (blowouts are a bummer!). The sad thing is there is so much judgment. 🤦🏻♀️ So just wanted to say, as a veteran mom, I’m happy for y’all that Thomas is a happy baby & it’s great that you & Katie seem to be adjusting well to being parents! Parenthood is truly the most rewarding journey God gives us. 😊
Sheltered kid moment: when one of the cooks at the restaurant I waitressed at asked if I wanted to go out back and "hit the whipped cream" I thought he meant literally eat it out of the can. He actually meant sniff the fumes. But it could have been so much worse
The first 8 minutes of this had me crying 😂 so funny And for the record I LOVED the way Amy told the story…would’ve told it the same way if I was her 😂
Usually there are, but not today apparently. I love watching it to catch the faces & especially when they have to turn away from the mic cuz their laughing. 😄
Thanks for the laughs, guys! Loved this episode! I don't know if this is a sheltered kid moment or not, but for the longest time I used to think that strip malls were places where people were actually stripping. I would think, "Gross! Who would ever want to go to a strip mall!?" 🤣😂🤦♀️
Jake talking about making a fire in his backyard feeling like its arson, here in South Africa, it is part of our culture to make fire in the backyard while hanging out with friends and cooking food😅
Some of the stupidest arguments me and my ex had gotten into were in the middle of the night who's getting up with the baby. Ahhh the memories, but don't miss that part 😂
So funny! People from New Zealand and Australia seem to end certain words with an R that isn't there. If you've ever listened to "The Secret, she talks about the lawR of attraction.
I found this out about morning glory seeds years ago, because when I was 19 I adopted 2 kittens and I came home from college one day and they were running around at top speed around my room with dilated eyes. Apparently they had eaten the morning glory seeds I had just planted, and yeah, it’s like LSD for cats! They were fine after 😁😁🌸💊
Thanks Trey for still doing podcasts while the 💩 is literally hitting the fan with parenthood. 3-5ft did not get a proper response from Jake and family man… that is not acceptable!
When you heat up the breast milk after it’s been in the freezer or fridge, you test the milk before you give it to the baby and that’s how you taste it naturally. Lol
I had white blonde hair as a kid but I was born with black hair. My daughter also had white blonde hair but she was born with red hair. In fact, she was the first redhead born in that hospital. The kicker? Her dad is Guatemalan and there are no redheads in my family. I was very confused and began to wonder in my drugged up state if I had cheated and forgotten about it 😂 She was also 5 lbs 15 oz and the other baby born that day was 12 lbs.
After Jake gets married and Mrs. Family Man gives birth, what milestones would you like the people sending in videos to congratulate you on? Acknowledgement of your life events seems to be a submission requirement.
