Hi Tara, congratulations. Be careful allowing Grayson to sleep too long in his car seat because of the angle of infant car seat his breathing can be restricted. After I get home from errands appointments I always transfer my babies from the car seat to lay flat in a bassinet, crib or bouncer. I am just counting the weeks I am currently 28 weeks will be 29 this Sunday. Please research the risk of allowing babies to sleep in infant car seats for prolonged periods. I have enjoyed your videos. I remember watching you as far back when Bailey was born.

I was going to say the same thing. Also keep the car seat on the ground instead of setting him on tables and benches. With the girls running around or anyone even could by accident knock the seat and it could fall with him in it.

Lisac9011 yes, I have seen car seats on the top of shopping carts and so on and it is so unfortunate because accidents do happen.very fast. I seen this also and meant to say something.

Another issue are car seat covers. I know everyone uses them to keep the sun off of them and stop other people from wanting to touch baby. But if you research it it traps in all the heat and inside of them can be 10 degrees hotter or even higher from it trapping the air flow. Which makes the babies over heat. I hate being that person saying something because everyone does these things but i would feel so bad if something happened and i didnt say something.

I believe that style of cover is made with breathable fabric. It is not like those car seat covers that go right over the face of the baby.

Its thin and breathable material. There is plenty of air flow. The top is open also.

I have never left a comment before and HATE to be annoying but I am a newborn photographer and have heard 3 stories(only 2 years into my career)of parents covering their baby in the car and peeking in and their baby is purple! He looks SO cozy but make sure you can peek back every minute or so. That is unfortunately all it takes! Even if this comment helps someone else. LOVE your videos. Keep up the great work mama! 💗

I have to mention this just because I didn't see anyone else mention it. But leaving baby in carseat to sleep is very dangerous because of the way it sits outside of the car is tilted forward so baby doesn't get a good airway. So they are shallow breathing in that position. I just had to mention because a nurse told me this at the hospital one time. You're an amazing mom and you look incredible always!

Yay he's doing SOO good! I absolutely don't want to sound like "one of those people" but I've heard such horror stories and I'd hate to NOT say something and then something happen, but you shouldn't let him sleep in the carseat if he's not in the actual car. The way they are designed, the car seat (when in the mount) allows the seat to sit up properly, but once it's sitting on the ground, it causes the baby to "rock back" too far and/or "too forward" and they can suffocate without you ever even hearing them do it. There are so many stories and articles about it online and these REALLY good parents are losing their babies bc they just don't realize it's an issue. When they are in the car in the mount it's not a concern, but once the carseat is sitting on solid ground it's super dangerous to leave them in for more than a couple of minutes. No mom wants to ever wake their sleep baby, but I know if I didn't say something and then something happened I could never forgive myself for not making y'all aware.

I was going to comment the same thing! It's a terrible habit to get into. Carseats are meant for the car, and designed for the car. They are not intended, designed, or safe for anything else.

I wish you had help or someone to help you a lot more. In my culture (African) we are not allowed to lift anything heavy or do any strenuous for 40 days. We are given lots of soup and nurture because our body needs to heal. Most midwives and doctors agree also, that you are more likely to suffer ppd if you rush back to your normal life to quick.

Omg, the way Shay seems so fascinated by his little baby toes 😍 Your vlogs are totally giving me baby fever! Haha! And I love how Baylee was talking for Grayson, telling you he wanted to go play in the playroom ❤️ Toddler/kid reasoning is the best sometimes. My son was the same age when my daughter was born back in December 2016. No hate ! I love your channel and you ! ❤️ however I had read some scary articles about leaving your baby to sleep in car seats ! Here is a quote from one. “When your baby is seated, her heavy head can fall forward causing difficulty breathing…and even suffocation,” explains Dr. Harvey Karp. “That's why car seats-outside of moving cars-are not safe for naps or overnight sleep for the first 6 months of life.” The same risk comes from upright strollers and baby swings. Again just looking out love y’all ❤️❤️

Some women are a different breed. I do the same thing. Have my kids come home like nothing happened. After my oldest boy I did milk it because my hubby was home n I used it to my benefit. All my other kids I had no choice.
