I love these old videos, and seeing friends who have passed away and those I don't get to see anymore! Thank you much, Dale, for posting!!

Vigourous in drumming and plenty of enegetic stepping. Vivacious and infectiously enjoyable. C17 dance as at should be.

I love the pace of Doug's direction for the dances...Yes, I agree with crystalwindwhisper, Parsons Farewell was my all time favorite!! Argeers very high on the list too....

Oh man I miss country dancing at my infant school ;D I could never wait for the summer fayre to come so I could go out in my skirt and shirt and bandana and dance around...of course, we all were sort of out of step and whatever - but hey, we had a skip in our step...and we were six...so that's all that matters :') I'd give anything for one of those summers again xx

I would love to know what year this was taped. This definitely looks like the stage that was in Agoura Hills, before the Faire moved out to San Bernardino. I loved watching these dancers (I didn't know at the time that I would become an Irish Step Dancer in the future). I would go to the Faire every weekend that it was here, just to watch the entertainment on these stages. I even drove up to the "Northern Faire" once, up above San Francisco. I loved the Newcastle Country Dancers and Pipe & Bowl Morris Dancers, and Comedia de Bologna. I had a secret crush on a guy named Benjamin. Oh he never knew . . . I wonder where he is now. He would surely be a senior citizen by now (as I am!).

Great costumes, awesome dance! It resembles the cercle circassien, a Scottish dance. Are they somehow related?

This is definitely not the Newcastle I know. Does anyone do English country dancing in England?

Yep. And it has created a lot of bad blood as nobody agrees on how it should be done.
