I think misplaced loyalty to players who should have been moved on when they were halfway attractive prospects to other clubs has turned into sacrificing excellent prospects because we suddenly found we had no choice.

I heard there is a decent midfielder called E.Anderson at Forest who is interested in joining Newcastle now the PSR deadline is passed, Knows the North East well with a fee rumoured to be around £35mil. Be a good signing I think and would fit right in to our squad I have been told. Perhaps clubs need to start working together to fight back against the cartel clubs. Just my thought of madness of the day, all the best.

Good rant Chris, I find the silence from our owners is deafening. They are not that good at business if the past few months are anything to go by. If Bruno or J7 get injured in the Copa America now, we are well and truly f****d. Lewis Miley has a broken toe apparently, so we are two light in midfield and the season hasn't even started. Gibbs-White is almost a must get at any price now. At least we knew the score with Cashley, this lot came in throwing money around like confetti, and now they are delving into dustbins for bargains, where has all the money gone?

Journalists reported it as a "fire sale panic" but the reality is we got good value for Minteh, Anderson and also Ashworth. I personally would advise Eales not to make a public statement because when he did this last December all the journalists simply misrepresented what he said to generate loads of fake/malicious stories.

Hi Chris, I think we were trying to sell players but there wasn’t any takers, then we had the Bruno clause, that was the insurance, but because of PSR rules no takers there either! This caused the panic, but we handled it anyway! I think the cartel (big 6) were happy to follow Chelsea’s lead, as Chelsea have been able to operate using this system for years. For clubs like ourselves, with band avaerage players, there is no way to recoup money, which in turn means the Cartel can cherry pick the better players from every other club, without damaging themselves, which for them m ans the status quo works! For us and other smaller clubs it means trouble trying to balance the books. This rule needs ripping up and replacing with something that works for the whole of the league. It is up to the other 14 teams to stand up for themselves and agree on something that works for everyone. The Premier league should also alter the voting process from 14 teams to a majority to win votes, this would stop the greedy 6 from manipulating votes by offering player or transfer incentives to certain clubs to enlist them to scupper favourable results for so called lesser teams. The PL are dancing to the greedy 6’s tunes since the failed Superleague breakaway a while ago, it’s time this was addressed by the league. HWTL keep up the great work

Apologies about the media feedback. I did read about some fairly advanced talks with Barcelona over Raphinha. According to the report, Barcelona have accepted a raised offer, and we are closing in on a deal.

To buy knowing you need to sell is dangerous, what if you can't sell, what if the players you want to sell don't want to go, what if the only players you can sell are your best players. The key is to sell 1st then but, not the other way round.

Oh, Chris. You know they are going on to be brilliant. So many players Newcastle have sold over the years that have come back to haunt us.

I genuinely think they expected to sell Bruno early to cover all of the PSR deficit. Most of the other stuff reported in the media, I'd take with a huge pinch of salt. These reporters get 99% of everything they report wrong, why do we believe it when it's negative.

I think the PSR issue was difficult because we couldn't shift the players we neeed too. We can criticise Newcastle for not shifting the dead wood, but if nobody wants to buy them what are we to do?? If you were a manager, would you buy Miggy over Minteh?? PIF are a near trillion pound conglomerate, you dont get to that position without great business knowledge. And lets not forget the Cartel Clubs and the Premier League are doing everything to stymie our progress.

Say anything that does not paint the club in a great light and the directors as fantastic and eddie howe has basically a football manager god then you are accused of being a troll, told to support Sunderland or accused of wanting Ashley back. A lot of our fans are mental.

I’m sorry, if Andersen didn’t want to go, he didn’t have to agree to the move. As for PSR, a business that loses money year after year is not a sustainable business. Want to avoid PSR? Trade profitably, increase revenue, or cut costs.

PSR sucks. Ratshit and his Big 6 deliberately changed the rules to hamstring us. That deserves a law suit against them and the PL as it was done to stifle competition. That we had to sell was foreseeable, but in January we were in no position to let Trips or Miggy go. Miggy missed hardly any games and put n a shift every game for us. Ok he didn’t deliver the goals he did in 22/23, but that was mostly down to opponents being wise that if given space he could hurt them. The extra marking he got helped our goals for number be as high as it was. Our problem was defence. We leaked too many goals once the fab 4 were unable to play together. Sven was carrying the ACL issue for months and wasn’t at his best. That hurt us. Trips had a wobble but still dug us out of the dung on several occasions. Selling either in January would have caused riots. I do however share your concern regarding what The Athletic reported regarding Minteh. If he was subject to any “threats” about being left in the development squad and not given a chance, then they need to be kicked out of the door. We don’t want Ratshitesqe people at Newcastle. Hopefully Mr Mitchell will sort that kind of thing out and consign it to the bin. Wound me up again thinking about it. It was bad enough when I read the original article. 🤬

1 - no one knows what's in the contracts. 2 - the clubs sold as planned and made a massive profit on 2 fringe players 3 - the board operated in due course, met the deadline and mitigated issues 4 - there was no fire sale. 2 clubs approached the club for isak and Gordon. As a 'just in case' Minteh decided to be a prick or there were issues with medicals the club listened to the offers. That is just smart. 5 - the press want to make sure the 'football world' perceive NUFC as a mess. 6 - man u's friends in the media run things and they want to ensure our fans are angry. 7 - look at all the clubs across the league, they all did business late in the window. Yet they aren't being call 'chaotic' Nothing to see here, mountains from mole hills. Which window have we missed since the take over? Tonali, Bruno, botman, Gordon, Barnes, BDB & Trips signed, £400+ spent. The board are doing a class job. Those who think otherwise know ZERO about business. My advice, sit back keep your mouths shut, lick your ice cream and let the adults do the work.

I dont think its panic hour but we need to get a good director in which will be hard to replace Ashworth. If we get a midfielder in it needs to be a pure 6 as we have 6 players that are all number 8s. Ederson from Atalanta would be thrifty
