Keep Tripps on the coaching side his passion for football and remember he was the first one to take on the project he will be a great acquisition to the back room staff

In my opinion John is underestimating how much influence Tripps has in terms of assists, overlaps.... Agree Timo is the future but it will be a big loss if we sell Tripps now. Also Tripps was blamed for the 2nd ManU goal but if you rewatch ManU had 3 players next to our 2 CBs and only Tripps spotted the overload and was moving away from marking his winger to go help out our CBs. Annoying that some blamed Tripps for our 2 silent CBs not knowing how to manage their box. But do agree Tripps was shocking against Everton.

Agree with John, controversial but if we don’t sell noo, his contract is up next summer and he goes for free..but…get him to sign an extension and keep him for cover then Saudi league end of next season and hopefully still get what we would get noo? He’s a leader and will never forget him on crutches bandaged up hollering from the touch line with 100% support for his team😮🎉

Make trippier the defensive coach

Personally, I think he’s on the slide, could keep him as a squad player, but I think he might want more. It will really be down to the player. Personally, if he will accept a squad role, I’d keep him, for a season or two. I don’t think we will challenge for a CL next season, or even a Europa, a resurgent Chelsea and Man U will be fighting for the Europa league. Villa might struggle with CL games, so I think that 7/8th place will be a good result.

Newcastle made the mistake of letting Gary Speed go and didn't replace him. He's got a few years left in him, and I think even if he doesn't start he's an invaluable squad member.

Andrew, you keep reminding us us that you said Tino will be our starting right back next season. However, you havent reminded us that you also said Miggy would score 20 goals this season 😉

I cannot understand the discussion about Tripps. What can we buy for £10m ? Botman's right leg? It's a tiny amount. If we want to be a European team, we need big game players and experience. Who else in the team has "seen it all before" and can lead the charge? No one

Why does Eddie neck have to be on the line sorry what happened to we wanted to compete, expectations we should be care full what we wish for. Eddie is ambitious but only so many clubs can be in top 5 so Club have to back Eddie with the right players with quality. Eddie is the right man for this club. Why we so negative.🌑⚽️

Love Trippier, terrific bloke, wonderful player but, but, but now is the time to sell him and get 8-10 million for him if we can. Wilson and Almiron too to be frank.

We would still leave ourselves short in that position if we let Tripps go.

I don’t think Newcastle can attract the level of players that will make them successful, it’s a shame but Newcastle have an horrendous record of failure compared to other clubs. Far more attractive prospect await for top flight players elsewhere.
