Aye - Isak didn't really get on with the Sociedad coach, Alguacil, who brought him off in 21 of the 32 La Liga appearances (26 starts) he made in 21/22. That was to our advantage & was a clever bit of business. Guehi is no superstar, if Palace don't accept £65M we should walk away - in fact we should run.
Right wing is less important than defense right now. We set a club record for goals scored last season. Scoring wasn’t the problem. The reason we dropped from 4th to 7th was all the goals we gave up. If we get our defense right again, we’ll be much better on the road and we’ll finish higher up the table.

If Parish really is savvy businessman like he often rumored to be, he has to accept this bid. He won’t get any better offer for a player with less than 2 years left on his contract. He is a generational talent like Parish described him to be; he knows he is capable of becoming a key player in any other club.

I absolutely understand the resistance behind the amount of money we're willing to pay for Guehi. However, CP is setting the price, if that's what they think he's valued at, that's what they are going to hold out for. We have our own evaluation and scouts to corroborate what CP thinks and if our side thinks CP is correct, the fourth bid makes sense. What's more, we've seen absolutely every player under Eddie get supremely better. Adam says he is not a generational talent or World Class, to which I can agree with in this present moment. But with him being as good as he's been, imagine what he could be after Eddie starts teaching him. Also remember Eddie himself was a centre-back when he played. If he's going to have an eye for any position, it will be the CB position.
Each club just see Newcastle as a money maker and think keep declining they'll always get more money for their players, it's a joke to be honest! But come on if we get Guehi in that will be a great acquisition.
The thing is, which "big club" don't spend £65 million on top players? It's rare to find great players for cheap and if we want to compete for the league then we need to spend big on big players. Guehi is a brilliant player, best England player at the euros, he's quick and has a very good attitude, I think we would be silly not to get him for £65. I'd rather get Guehi than spend less on a player that's going to sit on the bench.

Sometimes if you want a player you have to pay the money and bite your pride. Once you’ve got him in you’ll forget about the emotional ups and downs of the negotiations and you’ll have a top players for a few years. The other thing to bear in mind is that it’s a rare opportunity to acquire a top player without having to compete with the big clubs which doesn’t happen very often.

You can’t really compare to Isak because the market has move on to crazier new financial heights. Isak was unproven in the PL which is why he’d be 100m+ now.
