What I think most left out is not really these players where just "players on playoff or contender teams" but the SELECTION of those players via Gabe and Rick.. They DEFINTLEY picked EACH player with intent.. Tres a untapped star and even Damian Lillards acknowledged he could be if given a chance.. DB is a PURE shooter Vasa REALLY brings a "TRUE WINNER" for culture and end game clutch for the PG role.. Grant brings us our "culture" as a defensive anchor along with Cody Martin.. And Seth is our "Heart" as the NBA vet on MANY winning teams teaching that to the team and hometown fav as the LITERAL LEGACY Hornet.. Gabe and Rick are honestly great cause they made ONE trade and basically caught up Melo to where he shouldve been team build wise last year tbh..
Really enjoyed the podcast fellas, brilliant breakdown of the new players on the roster after the trades. All 5 have made a positive impact so far, Mann and Williams hopefully will be here for a few more seasons 🏀.
As a Thunder fan, a lot of us have now become Hornets fans because of this trade. We all wanted Tre to get his opportunity, and because the Thunder run so many small guards, Tre wasn’t cracking the rotation. Josh’s size is what has pretty much kept his place, and why he wasn’t really going anywhere. Micic is the player we really DID NOT want traded. Vasa was just starting to find his role on the team, and then he got traded. It sounds like Hornets ownership really wanted him though, which is why yall didn’t get Poku. I don’t buy jerseys for myself, and his jersey was the first one I actually wanted. He’s awesome, and the promise of him coming over for years, only to be traded immediately tells us the value that he had around the league. With Bertans, you should watch his highlights from the Dallas game earlier this year… he had cut that he might’ve been able to hit a layup with but instead runs to the corner and nails turn around 3 pointer that was insane. Yalll did great on these trades, and I’m stoked for the rest of the Hornets season.
Look no further than Lamelo seated next to Vasa Micic and Marlon Garnett instead of James Bouknight and Bryce McGowens and you can slowly see the wheels turning. I would not be surprised if Lamelo is available after the ASG and Steve Clifford makes a go at this thing. Cleveland just went 23-5... why not us? Yes, I know its sick, but wouldn't that just be the best story?! Either way, lets take care of Utah next. The Golden State on Friday is going to be must watch TV -- Curry v Curry with Curry commentating!

@@BUZZBEATPOD dug at locked on spent 30 mins two months ago opening the show on why terry rozier said losing is in our dna and miller had got a career high 35 the night before and spent 10 mins on that and then the show was over... most of the show is spent telling mgmt to do something as if dug can do mitch's job better than mitch. the nba is the hardest sport to climb the ladder on especially at championship levels and everyone cant win. the hornets have honestly had the worst injury luck to key players of anybody over the last 6 years and i blame that and distraction more than anything. bm is a tone setter and if we hit this year in the draft too w a nice FA signing then watch out
