This was the third and final railroad crossing I recorded on March 7. Later on, I made it to the CSX Andrews Subdivision, though I would branch out to the CSX Georgetown Subdivision later on until I came back to the Andrews Sub. While progress was once again great, it wouldn't be until later during sunset that I would get to see the only freight on this line I have seen, and what makes it more rare than ever is that this part of the line is dark territory! The line from Dillon until Hamlet, NC is signalized, but south of Dillon is dark-territory, which makes it harder to get action on here, but I was lucky enough.
Crossing info:
Signal on the left: 4 - 12"x24" Hawker-Safetran incandescents, a Safetran 1990s gate mechanism, and RECO LED gatelights.
Signal on the right: 6 - 12"x24" Hawker-Safetran incandescents, a Safetran 1990s gate mechanism, RECO LED gatelights, and a WCH 2nd Gen. Mechanical Bell
Location:
Newell Road
Hemingway, South Carolina
Locomotive:
CSX 3295 - ET44AH
Filmed March 7, 2024
Camera used: iPhone 14 Pro

Great video and crossing! Love those almost-fully original 90s CSX signals!
