He makes a good point. No matter how suspicious you might be, it would be way too implausible to think that the entire thing was a prank when it went on for weeks and had dozens of actors and everything
Also, James Marsden said they actually had hours and hours of court that was so boring that they couldn't use, but to make it seem real they had to have hours of the actual court case
This show was so good it was like the office in a way and RONALD was hilarious and the whole crew had me crying 😂 whoever came up with this is a genius
@@kachi9293 well, he did sleep (more like raped) his underage cousins, and it wasn't just him who fought for Indian independence... the sikh and muslims leaders just get written out and ignored
@@thejason347 agree, especially since no one was trying to make him look bad. They made themselves look ridiculous! I think that makes it more acceptable
don't feel bad, he wasn't duped. you were. he was in on it the whole time and this interview is part of the act. here's the best reason to believe that he was in on it. if he wasn't then dressing up as a bailiff and making like you are one even if only to one person, and as the producers to induce her to do that, and for the actors to all go along with it to make him believe it, all those are felonies. you can't do that. you can dress up as a bailiff and pretend to be one for the camera but then between takes admit that you're not. but if you're "always on" and never admit to not being a bailiff, you're impersonating a government officer. "sequestering" him, moving him from place to place by force and not letting him leave by force that's called "kidnapping" it's a crime which on the lowest end gets you 3 years in prison. and it's not at all a defense to say: "oh no we didn't force him we just tricked him into thinking we had the legal authority to force him to". It doesn't matter at all that after the fact he's cool with it, state and federal prosecutors are fully aware of stockholm syndrome, they don't need him to press charges. either all of these people committed multiple felonies exposing them to years in prison and likely for the producers decades, or they didn't do anything so monumentally retarded. BTW santa and the easterbunny aren't real
Binged watched Jury Duty. Loved it. You could see in Ronald's expressions his disappointment and dislike for Marsden. I felt sorry for Ronald and its great that it was a fictional version Marsden portrayed.
The lady was like AND HES TALL. Ok, calm down. If you watched the show you could literally see that he is VERY tall, so how is this a surprise. IT’S CLEAR ON SCREEN.
Oh yeah the ending was really rough for me to watch, and I don’t get emotional for anything. They accidentally picked a model human, and I was really worried how he would take the news, like it would hit him too hard because he really cared about for those people. Happy to see he seems pretty chill about it, and that the friendships were actually real and that he recognized that.
Ronald you were amazing in this series 👏👏👏I haven’t laughed so hard in years and the last episode was so heartwarming and very true all the best to you❤️❤️❤️
I’m confused how can you be filmed and be part of a tv show without your consent..?? Even if he had agreed to be part of a documentary beforehand I wouldn’t want nothing to do with a fake trial … maybe they offered him big money..?? I still don’t understand how they were 100% sure he would be on board with this at the end when they revealed it was all fake… FISHY to say the least …
@@trashtvinternational he answered a Craigslist ad for a documentary, I'm sure they told him he'd be paid about as well as you'd be paid for being part of a basic documentary
@@trashtvinternational they have his consent. This can be sold as a “documentary”. He got paid. He knew he was portraying himself. That’s all they need. The sweet spot is portraying him in a positive light so that he’ll do the press but seeing as the set-ups were scripted ideas and he was chosen by casting, they knew the type they wanted and the plan all along was to create this outcome. But this is $ and bankable entertainment, so what they leave out is that producers were surely reminding and leading him to behave a certain way as in: stay positive. Be likable. And editing is magic.
Such a good fellow. I thought his kind had gone by the wayside, to be honest. But nope! But I also wish they'd mentioned the actors who played his fellow jurors. Absolutely amazing improvisational skills. There is no way I'd guess any of them weren't real. Especially Barbara! 😄
I binged watched it then recently watched it again. Made me LOL both times. Second time watching it left questioning how they pulled off some stuff. I loved it though and mostly b/c Ronald Gladden is such a kind and thoughtful person but not in a fakey do-gooder way.

This was a great segment. The hosts were really wonderful and Ronald is a treasure. Loved the interview and the TV show. It was an original premise and enjoyed watching it. Who doesn’t love James Marsden? Ronald was a great sport, a kind soul and intelligent, handsome and fun. He is a star, and I wish him continued success.
Did you watch the final episode of the show? I was pretty skeptical until they went in depth for the entire episode about how they had branched out different scripts for every action he made and how they isolated him so that the rest of the cast could prepare for a scene
I personally think it’s real in the way that Ronald wasn’t it on it.. but anybody at all would have been acting in some way if they cared about how they looked on TV. He had to have known it wasn’t an actual docu-series for jury duty. Later on, Ron was too at ease and confident which for me was a sign that he was NOT acting. I think anybody would have gone along with it. I enjoyed most of the show
I find it odd how it's OK for the lady to comment on the fact that his taller than on TV, but had the male presenter mentioned something about a female guest's appearance in real life compared to TV he would've had to apologise or even got cancelled.
Ronald is awesome. The producers got so lucky. They had to pick a unicorn, which are far and few between these days. Young, liberal women have made sure to stomp out the spirit of such men. This is why our military, police forces and those in charge are devoid of such men. It is also why our beautiful country is being taken over by the devil. We could use more Ronald’s in the world today!
Taking away his phone and connection to the world without his consent through trickery???? What if he had family that had to reach him? What if he had bills, responsibilities, medicines, and medical appointments that he had to cancel just cos they wanted to fake a "sequestered trial"??? And what is this putting someone's character on trial and saying they passed??? Every human is a person with feelings and emotions. There is no one way to react to situations and call them the right way
That probably depends on the what's stated on any contract he may have signed when he took part. Producers would have covered their bases by treating him like any participant to a reality show such as paying him a stipend for the time he's away, for example.
Calm down dude. It doesn't take a genius to figure out how all these issues are easily solved. He also knew full well what he was getting into as a "juror"
Super cute interview 🫶 but why did she say "ladies, he's much taller than he looks!" I mean, what about the ladies who are not attracted to cis men? What about all the queers, including me, who find Ronald so darn compassionate & a gorgeous human as well as cute AF? And finally, what about the systemic heightism she's showing by insinuating that being a tall man is the epitome of hotness? No one is free from bias, true... I'll now thank my lucky stars we're continually learning as a species 🌍 Hahahahaha, mic drop 🎤⤵😂
I don't buy this. He said he was a big James Marsden fan here, but in episode 1, he acted like he barely recognized James "Oh that's where I know you from?" And he didn't know about so many movies James was in..... saying I heard Sonic was a bad movie to James's face if he was a big fan???? that whole interaction set up James's character for the show. I don't buy this guy was just not reading off of a script in that and all the formean moments in the deliberation scene.
He definitely might be an actor. I feel like I saw the rich lady and old lady acting somewhere in other movies. That would be a big risk to make all this preparations and get busted first days and lose a bunch of money. The guy could also be a jerk, but he acted very nice to make us fall in love with him. After a few series I was asking myself "If this is fake and all are actors, why can't the hero be also an actor?"
