Hey everyone, welcome back to the channel! Today, we're exploring more of Newfoundland, starting with the charming town of Twillingate.
This town is picturesque, with an adorable little harbor filled with fishing boats and a bit of a tourist vibe. We decided to hop on a tour boat to explore the waters around here, especially since the weather was perfect-calm and almost no wind! We even got to experience a quirky local tradition called the "Screech In," where we became honorary Newfoundlanders. It was such a fun and memorable experience involving some rum, a unique phrase, and a codfish!
After that, we explored more of the local culture, attended a shed party, and tried some delicious local treats like ginger cakes and rhubarb cakes. The locals are incredibly hospitable, and it was a blast getting a glimpse of traditional Newfoundland gatherings.
We also found some epic camping spots along the cliffs with stunning ocean views and enjoyed some beautiful hikes. While we missed the icebergs this time of year, the landscape is still absolutely breathtaking. We definitely need to come back earlier in the season to catch those majestic icebergs.
Later in the trip, we had the opportunity to join a local fisherman on his boat, where we got hands-on experience with commercial fishing. It was such an eye-opening experience to see how they work and to enjoy some freshly caught fish. We also visited the largest wooden church in Newfoundland and learned about the rich history and heritage of the area.
As our time on this incredible island ends, we find ourselves reflecting on all the beauty and adventures we've experienced. From the rugged coastline to the welcoming people, Newfoundland has been nothing short of amazing.
Thank you all for joining us on this journey! Don't forget to like, subscribe, and hit that notification bell so you don't miss out on our next adventure. See you on the other side!

Really enjoying your travels, especially Newfoundland. I've been there about 7 times via adventure motorcycle. I love it. Glad you took the time to get to Port au Port Peninsula. Once you're in Nova Scotia, 2 must sees are Cape Clear and Meat Cove in Cape Breton .

We’re loving following on your epic adventure to Newfoundland. It’s so beautiful. Just notice your metal table that you set up behind your chairs while overlooking the cliffs. We’ve been looking for one like that. Do you have a link to share for that? Keep traveling!!

I was there playing in band in the late 70’s. Winter time in a school bus that seemed to break down every hour or so . St John’s and Corner Brook were the two stops I most remember . Brutal winters lovely people who explained that it’s pronounced, Newfound Land Understand! Great video ~ greatly appreciated!!

Hi, Mortons, Love your videos. One question, Are you able to stay in the camper when it is still mounted on the truck for the night, or it has to be taken off to have the slide-out out? Thanks.
@MortonsontheMove

No slides on this rig, but ones that do always stay on. We had 2 slides on our last truck camper.
