@@theaamanablelonger, but was it really fun? Koma squashes almost all answers and having Koma triggers on your upkeep is a pain. At least inkmoth needs time to get counters and needs to swing to deal damage. That leaves the gruul player vulnerable to attacks. There isn’t much counterplay to Koma other than two sweepers, exile or bounce.

With Omnath, you don't have to reveal the card you get with his main phase trigger. You only reveal the card if you want to get the mana if it has three mana pips. It goes in your hand either way....

You _*_may_*_ reveal that card if it has three or more colored mana symbols in its mana cost. _*_If you do,_*_ add three mana in any combination of its colors and put it into your hand. _*_If you don't reveal it,_*_ put it into your hand._

Omnath helps a lot if you have it on the field when you draw it, but ambitious is definitely right.

@@salvamea Cause it has 3 colored mana symbols, meaning if you get it from omnath's ability, you get 3 white mana which helps cast it

Note for 5c Omnath: you don’t have to reveal the extra card you get. The reveal is for getting the three mana for the pips.

When is that Halana and Alena List dropping ? And any chance that some lists from older videos get released like that Shalai, Voice of Plenty? I am more than intrigued to try those out! And thanks for posting some of the most clear Gameplay focused commander videos. It is really easy to follow along even if you look away for some time. Thanks!

How does the vindicator replacement effect work with infect?

Even though infect deals damage in the form of -1/-1 counters infect still deals damage so vindicator still redirects it.

Khenra Spellspear is insane as a Pauper commander, the flipped backside gets huge very quickly and kills with commander damage

Ill be honest, I built Narset Prowess and Narset tokens, and the latter is just a better deck. Most prowess cards don't jive well in commander, and you're just better off leaning fully into the spell slinging/tokens build. A lot of instants/sorceries make tokens and it's a real fluid deck. Also, I thank god Koma is banned in my playgroup. Thing is a slog to play against as it's basically the Primeval Titan effect but much worse.

@@jamesgreenwood1703 It can be destroyed the turn it's played, and there's removal that gets past indestructible (exile, -6/-6 in counters or shrink effects).

@@jamesgreenwood1703 But that's the same for many other cards? Everything from Koma, to Nezahaal, to Avacyn, to even little innocuous cards like Kutzil, if left alone they'll get out of hand. I both have Koma in several decks, and it's prevalent in my playgroup. It's been handled about as much as it's popped off. I even have him as a Commander in one deck.

I think every deck here is REALLY cool. I can't help but root for Omnath, no matter what form he's in, especially when he can have such an unreasonable amount of pips amongst his cards and get away with it.

Was a really interesting game, but god does it remind me why I hate Koma so much. I mean, I get why people pack decks with nothing but legendary creatures, as they tend to have amazing effects and are super powerful pieces, but... it just feels so boring sometimes... like "Look at how much money I threw at this game".deck... I dunno, maybe I'm just salty from seeing the same Legend Stuffed decks over and over again on Arena ... god I miss paper magic...
