Hyein broke her foot so she couldnt dance.... she has been out for a while.. she just came back.. but its genius they used it to make her the main character and the videos revolve around her story

This is the girls' Japanese debut, in part 1 they are mixing English, Korean and Japanese. In part 2, they sing in English and Korean. In KPOP, when an idol gets injures, they don't participate in activities. This is the first time we are seeing a way to add the idol to the comeback. In Hyein's case, you lost at the beginning but appeared under her name “aka the bunny”
Hyein had a micro fracture on her foot back in April. She has returned to dancing (limited) when they performed at the Tokoyo Dome. Which was a major achievement because NewJeans is now the group that performed there the soonest after their debut; 1 year 11 months. I think that within the past week, Hyein was cleared by her doctor to return to dancing. She appeared in Inkigayo just recently. The spanish subtitle was obviously an error in part 2. It's cool that you know some Spanish that enabled you to translate it. Part 1 is trilingual; Korean - Japanese - English. It was done for Japan's cultural inclusion. Possibly the first KPOP group to go with trilingual lyrics. They did an absolutely incredible job. Part 2 went back to their Korean - English standard. The lyrics, cheoro, filming and concept for Supernatural are their best ideas to date. Their perfomance is amazing! NewJeans is my favourite group. I am glad that you really looked for the meaning in Supernatural.
Story: NewJeans are aliens. They are on earth and interact with humans. They have a hideout on the airport. They all have their own powers. For example Hanni can clone herself (we see three Hanni's in the beginning of part.2) and Danielle can create storms. Haerin can control electricity. Hyein have a crush on the human boy in part. 1. But we see that Minji take the boy away from Hyein. In part.2 we can see how Minji taking care of Hyein and warns her to be close (emotionally) to humans. In the beginning of part.2 we also see how Hanni telling Minji that she doesn't like to be on earth beacuse they are different. What if the humans figure it out. This MV and "How Sweet" MV tell us almost the same thing. NewJeans see themselves as outsiders in Kpop. In How Sweet they are "The ugly duckling". That's why we see them from animals POV. Just like the story of "Ugly duckling". In this MV they are aliens(outsiders). Ador(Mee Hee-jin) and NewJeans goes their own way when it comes to music and how they see themselves in the Kpop world. Mee Hee-jin(CEO) have said that NewJeans are not idols. She told the girls that they should use this time, under her, to learn a lot of things. So they can be prepared to do other things when their contract(7 years) ends. She told them that this is like a school for them and that they are classmates
hyein does not participate in the current promotions with the group since she had a mini fracture in her foot, but she was part of 'Supernatural' and 'Right Now', which is their Japanese debut, that's why the songs have lines in japanese
This genre is late 80s to early 90s 'New Jack Swing' a club/dance variant of RnB of the time... the song sounds a lot like Bobby Brown 'every little step' from 1988.. the sound, clothes and choreo are very typical of the likes of bel biv devoe or new edition (same groups pretty much but thats another story)... any new jack swing 'boy group' really... it makes it cool they went the boy group route rather than the girl one.. makes them look cool as feck in this
The message is simple. K-pop groups live isolated lives just as if an alien race would be, isolated from the local earthlings. Their talents however represented as supernatural powers is the magical force that unites the world or in this case worlds.
