Congrats to this adorable couple. I love this bus! It's clean and simple, yet very functional. I especially love the hinged coffee table @10:20. What a fantastic idea!
For the budget they have; and how clean it looks, this couple made a really practical $300,000 apartment on wheels and they can go anywhere they want, and off grid? It's a win-win. Smart move.👍
If they stay in a warm climate I'd say they've got a great budget and situation, but I noticed no insulation on the roof (possibly walls, too) Conversions get pricier when you've got to heat yourself to stay alive!
@@TheWorldofRobbie Still if it gets too cold they can always just drive down south. It's the great thing about RV life. The only trick is having stable income or savings.
This has to be my most favorite conversion. It has a great smooth layout. Looks like is very open so you don’t feel closed in. Thank you so much for sharing a look at you home. Safe travels😎
I’ve watched hundreds of converted buses and this has got to be my favorite. It has EVERYTHING that I would have had in my bus if I ever did a conversion. (Maybe not everything, I would cut the couch in half to make a office/table area) but this bus is amazing
I love the book you have under your desk. That's the sweetest thing to hear you make your wife coffee in the morning 🌞! May God be with you and protect you during your journey!
Congrats to the newlyweds and their excellent conversion!!! If I may, I offer a bit of advice about the sink. Sand down the underside of the basin with a fine grit sandpaper and the countertop where it connects. Then go to an autobody supply and buy some tack rags & some "Duramix". (It's a self mixing two part tube.) Make sure you get the semi rigid type and apply it to the bottom of the basin and the part of the countertop it will connect to; after you've rubbed them both down with the tack rags (to get all the dust and extra bits of debris off)... let it cure (doesn't take long) and I doubt you'll ever have a problem with it breaking loose again. Cheers!!! 😘
You guys have got a great start. Keep on making your lovely wife breakfast everyday. That's a good way to stay happy. You've a lovely house. I wish you both a wonderful life together. Stay happy and healthy.
This is one of the best van conventions. 😊 Looks amazing, well planned out & beautifully decorated WITH a bathroom (smart wife for put her foot down & smart husband for being so kind to his wife & building the bathroom and for making coffeeeee & pancakes for breakfast!! ☕️☕️) wow he’s keeper. Having a bathroom in a tiny bus is a great resale value and most importantly the only way to travel.
This is different than the other buses I have seen and I like this one. It has what you need to live in but it needs more cabinets or shelves. Congratulations to you two. Good work.
Absolutely one of the best I have seen: so clean and well designed, functional and the open space and combination of wood and white creates an overall feeling of peaceful openness. The systems and components fit together so well, a sign of good design. Little details well thought out. Organization + careful planning + top grade inexpensive materials = beautiful functional living space. Impressive.
Thankyou for actually telling us what it cost! I don't know if I'm the only one that think "I wonder how much that cost" so thankyou for sharing this information. Love the conversion you both done! It looks awesome 👌😊😁 xx
Nice job, looks very functional and with Swedish simplicity. I would redo the bathroom with a real shower pan (steel is best and looks good). The wood will leak and swell no matter what surface coating it gets. Ditto for the cedar wall behind. Looks great, but absorbs then releases too much moisture and will get moldy. There is very lightweight backerboard called Schluter Kerdiboard which comes encased in a waterproof barrier. They also make a waterproof membrane. I would use these on walls and floor before installing vinyl, tile, or steel shower pan. Don't take any shortcuts on bathroom.
I have watched soooo many of these videos I’ve & seen many really cool schoolies & vans. But if I got to choose any one I want for my own, it would be this one. I love the simplicity, clean lines & color choices. It may be “sleek”, but it is very warm & inviting. Y’all did a fabulous job on this.... you too, “Dad”.
I've watch a million tiny home builds & Van conversions..This by far is one of the best, Beautiful van builds! Keep spoiling your wife and Happy camping! Thanks for the Look-see....Cheers .
Congrats on your marriage and your happy life together! I love the conversion, great job planning, organization, and interior design! What a great way to start a new life together!
💕Wow! What an amazing way to start a newlywed life! You have done a fabulous job on the schoolie! You found a lot of major DEALS! It was meant to be! I love almost ALL of you ideas. I'd have to tweak a few things being an older disabled person 🛵 ... like an elevator to the deck! LOL 😂 A seriously well thought out design! Just add cruise control (plug n play kind)! Just can't tell you how proud I am of y'all! You done great! 🦋
I've been through those tunnels on the Needles road in South Dakota. It felt close in a van... Y'all are brave souls for taking Cecilia through. Hats off to you!
Love it. Get the packing cubes to keep all your clothes nice and neat and your closet looking 'organized'. one cube for jeans, another for tshirts, and so on, and you'll be surprised how much you can pack in those things, free up lots of storage, I use them even for shoes, toiletries, etc
I sure hope this couple reads this. FANTASTIC. Same size bus I had, you did a GREAT job. Love the white ceiling, vintage stove, and everything else. Just great to see a bus done without emptying your bank account. Wonderful job.
I have only recently become interested in the traveling short bus conversion life! So far I have found a few designs that I like and yours might be my favorite! I love the budget simplistic approach, the color scheme and overall feel! Congratulations all around!
I thought the headline read ; under $10, that would have been unbelievable. I just LOVE how you used part of the top deck of the bus as a viewing / hand-out platform. Amazing, and the maintenance will be a lot cheaper than a house / apartment.
What a nice couple and without a doubt, in it for the long haul... You are organized, practical, neat and very inventive... Good Luck and Congratulations...
My favourite part of this video is when the husband was talking about how he makes coffee every morning and breakfast at least every other morning for his wife. What a wonderful husband! I love seeing/hearing when a husband is attentive to his wife, how beautiful.
You guys are starting out your lives together the right way. And if you can survive a build together the rest is downhill ;) I wasn't thinking of a bathroom either, but yeah, you guys sold me on it.
LOL that is called the Iron Mountain road in Custer State park. I hope you got to see some buffalo and that you fed bread to the burros. I love your frugal attitude with this build. It looks like you got everything you need and didn't break the bank. Happy travels!
Love the simplicity and congratulations on your “I Do”! I wish you all the best and hope you get to enjoy yourself with your home on wheels for many years to come! Makes me wish I was young again to do all this myself.
Loved your home very pretty and very spacious. Great thought to your over all design....my favorite features was the sin, the wall to the bathrm, the shower, love the tolet, bed storage and the outside Patios. Overall great designs but best of all it is mobile....live to know more on locks and how you keep your home secure and over all cost of your nest ???
Thanks for sharing!! Been wanting to do this for awhile but had only seen the easy expensive conversion but this shows you can still have everything without breaking the bank!
Harvest Gold was the 1970s Appliance color cuz I had several of them and was in my twenties then. Also had the avocado color too but never liked the Coppertone brown ones too dark and dreary for me. For many years have only liked white appliances 😎. Love your skoolie. I bought a van last year and travel in that occasionally even slept at Walmart in it for the first time Last Summer. It's fun to get rid of everything and live simply. Glad you're doing that at a young age and traveling.
Aw a really lovely couple, and he put a shower and toilet in for his wife, it looks like a real comfy bus when you live in a normal house your tied to mortgage and utility bills but downsizing to something like this gorgeous bus you have total freedom and don’t need much to have a good life xx
Thanks for this video. Thank goodness it's not like some that take half an hour to 45 minutes just raving in. Love how you both have done this... What a lovely special part of your life.
This is the best bus conversion I've seen. Very practical and looks nice without putting a fortune into it. Enjoy your first years of marriage in this!
You got a lot o guts goin through that tunnel on the Needles Highway ! Western Tours actually take a full sized bus through it. But same thing, a spotter to help the driver.
so legit with the deals you found. I think it's a fantastic build, I just think the saving money stuff is more impressive since that's what I like to do as well and enjoy treasure hunting on CL and marketplace
This is such a simple and clean bus! I really like it! I think it is great that you have just gotten married....congrats...and your life is starting out so simple. take it from someone who has always had stuff, it is not easy to downsize. So keep your lives simple if you can.
