Looking back at this episode. They were definitely NOT moving. Those boxes were placed all over for the camera to catch them but nothing in their house was actually packed up 🤣
It’s 2022 and 1 am and I’m sitting here STILL mourning this couple. Why?! It’s just so sad to me that it didn’t work for them. I know they have both moved on and have beautiful families but I just feel like they were meant to be. 😢

I feel the same way going back and re-watching all of these episodes. I wish that the show didn’t add to their stress of what they perhaps were going through. It would’ve been nice for them to be able to work out their differences. Marriage is hard work, I wish whatever stuff they were going through, that they could’ve worked it out. It would’ve been nice to see them become more of a power couple and have a family. 💕
I really could relate to Jessica when she wrote how she loved pulling one over on people. “I thought how dumb are these people that they think I’m this dumb?” Growing up in the “aughts” when everyone died their hair blonde, tanner, starved themselves and wore bags bigger than their bodies acting stupid was glamorized. Everyone owes Jessica an apology just like Britney and paris got. She did reality tv and woman’s wear first and the best. Her company was valued the same as Michael kors. That’s unheard of. Until the Kardashians. But even so kim is just now doing skims and Jessica Simpson was valued at over a billion over 5 years ago. Her mom and her bought her company back and built it from scratch. That’s not easy.

Jessica didn’t know how to use 🐱 to get what she wanted from nick . He would have had 3 maids 3 assistants if she was putting it on him . He was sexually frustrated this entire marriage
Obviously at this moment I know they really didn't care about each other anymore. But they both have a lot of flaws. Jessica is a bit of a brat and kind of immature,but Nick is so condescending and cheap and comes across as a jerk most of the time. I feel like he just married her because she was hot. When I watch these now I can see it just wasn't going to work.
I think she jumped the gun on divorce. They should have tried to live alone for a while. Neither of them ever got their sparkle in their eye back. Nick wasn't as awful as everyone says.

2024...and I LOVED these 2 together. Recently though I realized Nick's impatient behavior was due to Jessica's nieveness...like she never grew up to maturity. She was oblivious to "adulting"...I LOVE Her and don't get me wrong...I know she was younger but they say woman mature faster then men...not in this case...Nick was constantly "Fathering" her because she was very immature the majority of their relationship....the ditsy blond mode got old after a while for him...though I do believe he Loved her to the moon and back many times over...it just wasn't the match made in heaven their fans thought. Presently they have moved past their lives together and are happier...that's what matters. Jessica finally matured into a Powerhouse. She's a BEAUTIFUL Woman, Wife and Mother...just what she was destined to be...and Nick has a woman that was everything he needed for him in life. Unfortunately divorce happens it's not bias...but sometimes it's what is needed to grow into who you are ment to be...learn from the past and move to the future. Congratulations STILL...to both of them, their spouses and families.
It wasn’t “staged”. The problem is that by the last season they were barely speaking and couldn’t stand each other. This last episode was a mess of old clips because they were already on the verge of divorce. Read her book.
I watched it a couple of times years ago when it first came on....I didn't like the way his goofie friends were always trying to make Jessica look like an idiot...I never could stand guys like that.....I think they were envious that she was becoming a star...just jerks...I also think they had her act like she didn't know things...so she would look cute and ditzy.
I can tell in this last episode that the shows were scripted and set a narrative for Jessica to be a certain way. She seems so different in this episode.
I'm just realizing how staged this show really was...I mean, who packs boxes of their belongings without finding a home or selling their current home only to change their mind halfway through and decide to stay 🤦♀. that makes no sense omg!
This episode was staged at that point. They were on the verge of divorce and the show was coming to an end. I was just wondering who wound up with those sheets.
I love how she didn’t realize how expensive they were I just bought em then looked & I can’t return them because they are undergarments but she still outside of the store lol those underthings are probably long gone by now
There are so many episodes where he's always speaking about not getting laid for the entire world to see. He was so disrespectful and belittling towards her. If I was her I wouldn't want to have sex with him either.
Ohemgee she was so adorable. I really like this show, but I couldn't enjoy it as much as I could have because of how ugly he treated her a lot of the times, even with her faults, that's not how do you treat anyone, especially your spouse
Theres been a lack of respect and a lack of love since the first episode. Was that scripted or real? No matter because it's usually a lack of love and respect that destroys a marriage.

It’s a pretty well known rumor that nick had a very small unit if you I know what I mean. Idk if it’s genetics of of steroid use made it worse but when she had an affair it’s said that it awoke something in her that she had not experienced. Sexual gratification for the first time. I don’t think nick was a giver in the bedroom and she said her husband was her “sexual shaman” (an insult to John Mayer and props to Eric for showing her a side to sex that was emotionally and sexual gratification).

They sure were a beautiful couple. I wouldn't wish a bad marriage onto anyone, but the definitely look good together. I mean she's dumber than a box of rocks but still beautiful. Hope they found happiness separate
