Corpse’s voice def draws you in but his personality and just him is what makes you stay and like him

Fun fact: He has stated in a stream that all the vocals in here are him, even the higher ones. Also, if you ever see his song "Never Satisfied" the screams in it are him as well. So far, in all his songs he mentions if part of the song wasn't done by him, like if it's produced by someone else or something.

I mean, from an outsider perspective that line about him breaking the mirror might be funny but it's actually true. He talked about it in one of his older Q&A streams. He said that he hates the way he looks and wears a facemask even when alone. He has all of his mirrors covered to avoid seeing himself in them because he once did and it ruined his whole day.

The fact that I have been subbed to Corpse for a while and he 'blows' up now gets me. He's actually a great creator. I'm happy for him. But he does have the voice and hands. 😭

I love how he just goes back everytime he misses a lil thing, it shows that he really cares about understanding Corpse's music and it is kinda epic. Like you can see at other youtubers that react to Corpse's songs and dont really care about him as a person, that they are just doing it for the views. But not him. Really dope

Ever since it came out, I listen to it on repeat every night so go to sleep.

As someone with a really deep voice, I don’t understand what’s likeable about it. Everyone else goes out of their way to tell me. Interesting fact about deep voices. If your voice is smooth, it won’t hurt to speak. If your voice is gritty and sounds like sandpaper feels, it hurts. My voice hurts to use, so I talk quietly to keep it from being bad. Doesn’t help at work.

Thank you so much for diving into what the song is about and Corpses struggles. I’ve been following corpse for a while and it’s great to see him get so much recognition but it must be insane to have that many people looking at him. Anyways awesome video!

Corpse apparently covers all the mirrors in his room:( He has really bad anxiety and this song is about people pressuring him about a face reveal and he can't go outside for fear that people will recognize him :( When it says "my friends probably hate me I can't answer a message" I saw someone say that he literally couldn't answer his friends because 1) his eye is really sensitive so he has to wear an eye patch and 2) there was a period of time where he literally couldn't move (he has a condition where he can't move his limbs at times)

As someone with agoraphobia, I appreciate that you are empathetic and understanding to people in this situation. It's definitely as crippling as you mentioned. It's also not just other people, but situations that are hard to easily escape from, and being away from home. Car rides, stores, anything like that. he has talked abt how he always stays inside bc he is scared of being recognized and when he goes go out he can wear a mask which helps but his voice stands out. he also has other problems besides GERD including one that effects his eye to where he has to wear an eyepatch and he also has fibromyalgia, which is very uncommon at his age, along with his sleep problems and his GERD hurting his voice. Fun fact after he said "cause im agoraphobic" and it goes to the instrumental, the faint "ooooo" (or falsetto) its him

Agoraphobia can also be the fear of being put in a situation where you could feel trapped or helpless in (could literally be any situation not just open or crowded places). I have a friend who has it and she always needs someone to be with her when using public transportation or else she'd be getting panic attacks.

I've been following Corpse for years and he really is such a cool dude. I have always loved his stroy telling and his videos got me through some tough shit at the time. I recommend listening to his old livestreams, he is really wholesome. I can't imagine the pressure he is feeling now. He even said recently he is working himself to exhaustion to create content, music and merch to give back to his fans. I hope he will be ok. Also, the mirror thing, he keeps his mirros in the house covered cuz he cannot stand his reflection, that's where that line comes from.

Im dealing with a lot of mental issues and similar medical problems like acid and agoraphobia and i heavily relate. Also the pain is intolerable it burns your throat to shit until it feels and sounds like your talking through a fan

I've been a fan of Corpse's for 4 or 5 years since he used to read horror stories and I'm so happy the way he's getting recognition now. As for a face reveal, he should be allowed to make his own decision if he ever wants to do it but he said in a rare interview with Anthony Paddilla, the 'fame' has stepped up several notches in the last 5-6 months and he can't imagine what chaos it would cause in his rl if he did show his face. His real fans don't want a face reveal, we just want him healthy and happy and if he never shows his face then so be it. I'd love to hear that you 2 just hung out and played some Among us though!

So like with the voice thing- it's naturally very deep (even listen to his older videos, he was around 17 I think when he started his channel and it was still deep then, it's gotten deeper with age obvi.) Basically he's got GERD and it makes his voice raspier, not deeper. Okay maybe a tad deeper. But it's mostly rasp. I'm sure you know this, but people in the chat were annoying me a bit because they were saying his voice wasn't natural and his voice wasn't actually deep y'know y'know because they thought his illness makes his voices deeper when it just makes it raspier lol.

I was diagnosed properly with anxiety back in high school. I have lived with it most of my life. It mostly in waves of I can't do this or I'm going to die if this happens times 10. I could not make a decision to save my life. I've calmed it down a lot and am able make a bunch of decisions without feeling like I am gonna disappoint someone or die because of it. Recently however I've gotten more anxious about my face and some of my choices on my future. I had bad acne forever, it's way better but something about wearing masks all the time made me more insecure and anxious about how I look. My hair and how I dress is pretty much the only things keeping me from completely freaking out as I can control that more. For the future it's mostly career stuff, questioning if I really want to do military or if I want to just travel and do something with that. One might ask where I'm going with this. Well partially I'm venting and mostly I wanted to say that I get what Corpse is going through. It's not the same as anxiety is different for everyone, but I get the feeling of worrying how I look, having a breakdown over what most people would view as nothing. Worrying if my friends care about me. Corpse likely won't see this here but whoever is reading this know that you are not alone in your feelings. There are other people going through anxiety and/or depression as well, you can get help or try to power through it. However you try to handle it I believe in you, you will survive and you are loved. Now that i think about it I think I actually have Agoraphobia. When I saw the symptoms of Agoraphobia almost 60-70% I could relate to it. I dont like crowded places, I'm not comfortable going outside, I overthink, I sometimes get a fast heartbeat, and i'm also anxious, and weird when I talk, or hangout with someone that i'm normaly not close with.

I'm assuming agoraphobic people would love rain because you're much less likely to be seen through a window with rain on it, cuz of water distortion, plus there are much fewer people outside during the rain, and finally it's finally normal to be inside like they are. So normalization and a lower risk chance to look at the outside while still being pretty safe from prying eyes.

To be honest when I heard corpse’s voice I thought it wouldn’t be able to fit in with any genres of music, but I’ve been proven very wrong, it’s very surprising how good all of his songs are, his voice just seems to fit in so well with the words he uses in his lyrics and the background music he has in his songs
