We support marine protection projects from the sales of this series. This year will see further ghost net retrievals with the Scientific Diving Association e.V. (SDA) around the Baltic Sea.
For the protection of native species such as the noble crayfish in rivers, canals and lakes, TRIXIE is sponsoring a high-quality microscope and an underwater intercom system, as well as taking over the costs of analyses and dive operations for the SDA North-Rhine-Westphalia.
The island Juani, north of the island Mafia/Tanzania, is home to one of the most important nesting places of five different species of sea turtles. Two experienced locals, who provide overall protection for the nesting places and carry out a monitoring of the nesting activities, have been financed from the BE NORDIC charity pot since 2023.
