now your campaigning.those who oppose are opposition mps to make relevant to mwananchi and government voted yes to support their base. the essence of everything is to gang the mps to take responsibility from the time of budget process. some of the mps who voterd NO supported the budget process signed it and then come with tears and cry with wananchi
Osoro should not forget that governments are overturned by people through revolution and he should be weary of that and he should not assume Ruto is the one to vote for him 2027.
I thought our president was here for hustlers. I will tell you that I am personally In Seattle wa and have bought lands in Kenya. Your bill you want my kids to come lease my own land ....unjinga..... soon as the bill goes on I am coming there and selling everything buy land in USA. Kwaheri. Ruth and the team please 🙏 please submit all your haf work to the government Your kids will pay for your land.....
Ruto had a choice to avoid coming up with these taxes before he agreed to the on-going loan deal with the IMF. In December of this year, the IMF Secretariat announced that the agreement with Ruto will cause social unrest in Kenya and Ethiopia. Ethiopia seems to be calm but Kenya is going to the dogs. Heziah Ochukah is laughing at us in his grave.
Corruption is what needs to be dealt with. X%(>30% at least) of the budget funds corruption. Unfortunately when same Gen-Zs and all allowed themselves to accept handouts by aspirants during election campaigns. ...kula na kura..they got into this mix. So both ends need to sit and talk. The funders of most of the governors need their money back through overpriced tenders.
Gathoni mucomba said she ditched uhuru caz cud not listen to their grievances but ruto listens...pay attention when approached....2023 gathoni ditches ruto....accusing him of hardness
Nobody is talking about corruption in Kenya and recovery of stolen funds which is in the public domain, before you overtax Kenyans first live within your limits by reducing the allowances of politicians and government officials. reduce the deliberate wastage of public funds,
💯 We do not need exotic solutions, majority of our problems can be solved by going back to basics - running an extremely lean government, cutting out nonsense expenditure like all that foreign travel, accounting for everything that has been collected so far, and plugging all the holes through which we are hemorrhaging money via corruption. And the biggest one: *stop getting the country into more debt* . It makes no sense to shake down Kenyans for more and more taxes each year to supposedly pay back debt, while simultaneously digging us deeper into the debt hole by borrowing both locally and internationally at break-neck speed.
Simple Mathematics. Zakayo to cut off his Foreign travels completely. Then downsize their Salaries. As simple as that. We do not raise taxes to meet our budget expenditure.
I have a few suggestions on areas where we can cut costs: How about we forgo spending Kshs 10M on curtains, hundreds of millions on hospitality, and billions on unnecessary travel? Instead of hiring unconstitutional CASs for Kshs 500M, let's use that money to hire Junior High teachers. I have more ideas on where we can save, if Hon. Ichungwa is interested.
Stop scaring and gaslighting Kenyans Osoro...it's very easy, drop the executive's allotments to the State Hse., VP resident's renovation, first/second lady nonsense, covert expenditure allocations.
This is the mood at the top. Majority Leader, Kimani Ichung’wa is simply communicating the mind of the executive. All is not lost, this is an opportunity to interrogate the decorum of this regime. If we had seen tangible efforts to cut on wastage and corruption, Kenyans are patriotic enough to pay taxes.
What they need to forego is unnecessary expenditure like money allocated to unconstitutional offices and unnecessary travel and allowances. What’s baffling is how these brilliant minds think they can transform Kenya into a first world within three years, it’s not possible!it’s not going to happen! They should just focus on one or two things like food security and leave the rest to their successors. We can’t afford to be overly ambitious, it’s not going to get us anywhere!
Ruto is kind of leaders who just print more currency notes when the nation goes broke😂. You don’t over tax citizens to prosperity! Hatununui ndege ya Zakayo, NG’O!!
Why don't we operate within our means... See how much you collected in 2023 then you budget accordingly. Presidential travels, the cash for executive to buy new cars, amounts set aside to renovate State House and the residence of the Deputy President. Remove pesa ya kununua chai na mandazi at State House, and other Govt offices.. Kenya Kwanza Govt ne Bure kabisa. Sarekali ya matapeli
Yess, we all saw those who voted yess, they Will find us on ground and things will not be easy on them....we will not stop until we are treated as KENYANS..We have a RIGHT TO SPEAK OUT..
Gaslighting indeed! How could they fall so short of collecting taxes or is it that they collected but it went to some pockets. Corruption needs to be investigated thoroughly with the KRA. If you raise taxes it just goes into individual pockets at the top and within KRA big wigs.
We as youths we have read the bill and non essential things like money for confidential use, money allocated to prime cabinet and his spouse money to buy furnitures in the state house , holy ghost fire ,we reject
It seems every body says what has gone wrong and nobody is giving any slightest suggestion what they think should be done to solve these problems which seem to think they are Holly than though and have a miracle to cure it
How about slashing the salary of all ministers demand the very rich to pay morw taxes, how about cutting lavished lunchtimes, traveling and meetings. By taxing the poor you will have public unrest.
It is now not about the finance bill.., whether we have read it or not does not matter now .,what matters is do thus leaders that we elected listen to us,do they represent kenyan citizens as they should.. despite clear indications that kenyans have rejected the finance bill..,they have failed to listen yo the boice of the people
