Wow. Well, I’ve already replayed Just In Case at least three times and I cannot wait to hear more about this show! If I was in the UK I would definitely be getting a ticket, but alas. Thanks for the sneak peek! 😅
I am so pleased for Leesa. She sang "Don't lose your head" to my daughter at Theatre Cafe Diner in November and surprised her by telling her we were taking her to see Six. She chatted to us too and showed us photos of herself playing Anne Boleyn. Can't believe I'll see her in Why Am I So Single.
Don't hate me but I didn't enjoy the workshop of this at all, I feel like it had no real plot and the songs (except the bee one!) were unmemorable, can't help but feel that if anyone other than Moss & Marlow had written this it would not be on the west end...
I'm interested in watching the show develop from afar & see it when it eventually reaches the US. From what I heard here it's got me very excited for the show's future.
I have sighted up to get pre-booking notifications. Do we yet have dates for the production. I haven't watched this yet so you might have answered the question in this. So looking forward to this since you posted the last workshop review.
I absolutely wish I could afford tickets to London to see this show. It comes out around my birthday too! I am here for the reference to Friends! Where can I find the cast album?
The 8 dates song is cute, but maybe it would work better for the actor if they raised the key a little? Some of the notes sound a bit too low for them (which would make sense if they wrote it with Toby playing the role because Toby has a lower voice)
Very hard to say until it opens - my expectation is that this might not be as fast growing because Six is VERY marketable, but this might earn more critical respect, Awards buzz etc
No such thing as the six company, they share 1 producer but that's not quite how it works financially. It's going straight there because the theatre owners have offered them a venue, they are confident in the show.
Part of their genius is the "Fringe Festival" attitude that they're writing really good shows that are moderately sized and not expensive to produce.. @@MickeyJoTheatre
