New research shows that drinking alcohol is never good for your health.
MITIGATE
Dr. Amanda Cheung of Northwestern Medicine said a recent study on alcohol use found that even low amounts can be harmful to health. She added that with its use, it is important to have a plan to mitigate health risks.
To mitigate is to ease or lessen the effects of something bad. For example, firefighters wear protective equipment to mitigate their risks from flames and smoke intake.
