I'm 14 right now in 2022, i personally really enjoy wearing baseball caps but my grandmother told me i should get into more proper hats, she told me to look into irish caps, now I'm here and i like what I'm seeing

Yeah, newsboy hats are a step past baseball caps. mine I wear it everyday and put sweat fillers inside for sweat and just take off the sweat fillers the next time I wear my newsboy hat love it
You can never go wrong with an 8 piece cap, also known as a News paper cap. Clean look girls will dig it. Always be different never follow the same old trends it helps you stick out stay quiet speak when needed and be confident with good humor. Trust me you'll be good🤝🏻
Great video and tutorial. I wear Newsboy caps all the time, and though I do wear baseball caps, a Newsboy is definitely more serious and mature. One thing to know about hats is you really have to own the look, and wear them with confidence -And you my friend most certainly have what I call “Hat-Swag!!! 👊🏽💯

I'm just a kid and I worn fedora's and flat cap I tried to dress like a 1930s mobster even tried to visit a 1890's century house which is a old looking Spanish house I'm not just into liking hats but even also cars, music, era and even its fashion back in those 20s, 30s ,40s and 50s well sure I might be in a wrong generation but I know there's a special charm to it.

I have become fond of the wider versions of the newsboy. I have a very square face and a lot of hair. Have had many flat caps over the years. Always been a hat guy. Haven't worn a baseball cap since little league. It appears that Peaky Blinders have inspired a return of the newsboy Still, you have to look far and wide to find the larger, wider versions that were popular in the late 1800s and early 1900s. It is a classic cap with tons more class than a BB cap. It feels good to wear those caps.

Do you have an opinion on what would be most age-appropriate for a guy in his early 60s? (I'm tall and slim.) I don't want to wear anything better suited to younger guys, nor anything too showy.

They arrive later in fall, early winter.. the model is called The Tully, and another one is called the Baker Boy, but in summer we are low on that heavy weight stuff, we only have like XL left now.
Kevin, What is the difference in diameter size between the Jonathan Richard and Stetson newsboy cap? Which on is more “Peaky Blinders?” A lot of hat companies seem to have a Peaky Blinders cap, but no one says they make the hats for the show.
We do hats for a lot of shows , u can ask Benji in mail order, he might know which width is better, maybe we supplied their caps. Anyway, it’s more about your face width, they didn’t all wear the same thing. It balances out differently on different size faces. If u are a bigger, wide4 faced guy, the Tully from Jonathan Richards is ok, but in general, I think the width of our new Harris tweed dockside newsboys are most like the ones on that show. The Irish stuff is better if you’re a larger, Uber guy, or have a wide face. bravo! I started wearing one again recently , too.. that Marlon Brando style suede motorcycle cap I had on in “How To Wash A Flat Cap or Newsboy“ I had gotten it for my wife like 15-20 years ago, she really never wore it, maybe once..so I’m giving it a try..soon it’ll be too cold in NYC anyway..
I saw it. Very special! Got a Stetson Belfast. Not the skinny type that I was looking for at first. Here it is already cold and much better with head-wear. 😉
The button on the top? That button is just for looks, there’s a whole bunch of pleats that meet on the center of a newsboy,so it covers that up..it’s decorative,basically. The snap on the peak is there for looks too..kind of. They could just sew the cap down to the brim, it has a different look when it’s sewn down, or sewn with two stitches, or snapped down, the cap lays differently. Also, some wearers like to open the snap,and play w the crown a bit, blouse it this way or that way..
Is it normal that the cap leaves a circular line over my forehead? That's the only struggle I face. (the cap seems to be the right size as it fits well)
That’s usually a sign that it’s a little too tight. We all like hats to fit differently, but maybe consider wearing it looser…just stretch the cap,carefully but firmly over your knee,gently increasing pressure, stretch it lengthwise until u hear a pop, then stop. STETSON HATTERAS Is the model, most of the Stetson newsboys are the same shape/width. Also, The "silk and cashmere Newsboy" is lighter weight, same shape ,very silky, beautiful fabrics
Always wore fitted baseball caps. Never knew what would look good on my bald head with a medium length beard. Lol figured a newsboy or fedora I'd try out? So I bought a Gatsby hat from Amazon, wish I watched this video prior to buying it. Next time I'll order online from your store. From ohio.

The newsboy and flat cap have their origins firmly rooted in Ireland They were the headwear of the poorer class of people and the working class also. The flatcap is also known as the Paddy cap. I prefer the newsboy to the flatcap though

Or so the TV show says, that’s Hollywood. To me, it seems like a good place to hide a blade, in the sole of your shoe or your cap..so I guess it’s very Possible, or probable they did it...I know in prison they hide blades in their shoes ,they cut a little slit in the sole, or whatever.. a cap would give u faster draw than the shoe..rather than sew it in and use the whole hat as a weapon, I’d think just hiding it in a slit,for a quick draw would be the stealthiest ..but sewing it in would give u better leverage and make a slightly more formidable weapon.

That pink fedora is awesome... I couldn't pull it off. All the hat guys get the cool hats. There's a hatter in Texas that makes a hybrid felt/straw hat that looks.good on him but again I couldn't pull it off.

On their website they added 'cashmere' word to the wool and called the color anthracite. But looks like the charcoal one in the photo. Maybe I can't use this during summer, but "luckily" summer here in Finland is short.

So many Baker boy hats I try on fell to thin on head what's the word no plumpness is that's right. Yet a wax Baker boy hat brand mantaray fit and looked perfect. Bought from debenhams and they know longer sell. Every other Baker boy hat just don't look or fell right. I have a titauim plate in front of skull you wouldn't realise looking at me. But that not the reason so many don't fell right. I now have a dent in the titauim plate 7 years later another story. Would defo visit your shop. If you was in London you could see what I mean and find me a hat simliar to the one I wear. Looking fir different material but something that sits the same
S Harris ..sorry, no.. u really cannot remove stains from felt that permeate from within.. u change the outer ribbon when it gets salty, if u don’t..it stains the felt and then it’s too late.. not much u can do, u can try very fine sandpaper, it may help a bit..but most likely not.
i have read about naptha, but soaking a hat in lighter fluid? I have never seen it done,never heard anyone in the business mention it in over 24 years I worked w hats.. I don't really suggest it, but u can if u want...it could work,could be risky..i never soak a hat in any liquid.. if it works,cool..i wouldnt do it personally. Thnx 4 the feedback😁
Start with a baseball cap...everyone wears them so you won't feel you stick out... when you're used to going out with the bb cap.. you can move to any of these without feeling like people are looking at you.

I don't know why people associate a baseball cap with being not adult or grown up. I love my baseball caps. I usually get a plain solid color baseball cap and it looks great with anything, dressy or casual. I usually go for navy blue, black but recently I have been liking red or maroon. I wear a red baseball cap now and it goes with my blue jeans and a flannel shirt. For newsboy caps, I like black cotton. I don't like flat caps at all. I like a bit of girth so the newsboy is perfect for me when I want a newsboy cap. I also love fedoras and trilby hats.

As for the low volume in my vids, I had purchased 2 external microphones, both were a dissapointment, my new Ipad pro seems best w just the internal mic, until I upgrade, i will go back to the internal ipad pro mic,those all sound better.. sorry, hopefully the issue will be gone now. Thx
