It is sad to see musicians come and go but the Newsboys still exsist, still standing strong, and most importantly still reaching out to many souls by preaching the word of God to those who want to hear it and want to except it . That is what is most important. I pray that God gives them strength to carry on their life's work for our Lord Jesus Christ
I think this my favorite concert. But it was the first newsboys video I saw on God tv. And watched it over and over. Can't enough of blessed be your name.
I was at this very concert when I was 9....since then I've been to many concerts including some raves, rap concerts, you name it.....but this one is still by far the most fun and lit one I've ever been to
Yeah I saw them here in San Antonio and it was and awesome concert and it made me appreciate them more than I did because I am not a big K-Love type of christian music listener I like more of the older off the charts type of tunes . I remember reading that this was the best special effects, lighting, movie type concert of the year in all of the music world christian and non-christian.
This video has the annointing of the Holy Spirit for those who seek Him. The annointing never leaves. I have cassettes from the 1980s that still carry the annointing of the Spirit. Thank you Peter for being true to the Gospel.
John Nielsen my favorite line up is Peter, Jody, Jeff, Phil and Duncan. Some of my favorite albums was from that line up. I like some of the stuff from the John James days, and I like some of the Tait led stuff, but I have never felt it fair to declare a band better or worse with or with out certain members based on my opinion. There is a season and purpose to everything. So long as they worship and they are touching lives, new generations and keeping humble it is really all about Christ
Can you imagine being so blessed to have seen this show as your first christian concert! Now imagine that you got to build Duncan Phillips Drum riser before the show!!! Happen to me in 2008 Couchman Park Clearwater Florida and to have this on tape to remember forever!!! God really must love me!
Because of the Newsboys and their song, He Reigns (42:43) I exchanged standard rock music for Christian rock and haven't regretted it since. I discovered even God''s soldiers in music can be powerful and give you the love to dance, to re-connect with the Lord and love even more Jesus Christ! Thank you and God bless Peter Furler, Duncan, Jody, and Jeff for pulling this soul closer to God in the most universal way - music. Peter' voice at 27:45 is beautiful, how it rises (its like I can recall those notes sang in Heaven).
Peter is all around an excellent musician! I was born around the time he just started being the front man. newsboys have always been since the time I started to play music very inspirational specially Duncan I've seen him live in person dude puts all of his emotion into playing the drums
News boys awesome team of true worshippers of God! Peter we missed you, God continues blessing your ministry. Thanks for you legacy on the "Old News Boys"!
IMO, the best Christian band EVER!!!!!!!!!!! I was SO disappointed when Peter left the group, Newsboys still good, but with Peter they were transcendent!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember owning a dvd of this concert and today I had a nostalgia and found this gem here. God bless America and the Newsboys for forming me when I was 8 y/o
Got to play keys for Peter a few times a couple of years ago...was an incredible honor to play for someone I've looked up to for so long....thanks for putting the up here Chris
I saw this same ‘GO’ concert in Sydney, Australia. They were incredible. It’s the best concert experience I’ve ever had and I’ve been to a lot of gigs.
+James Tramel This concert was held at the Richard Berry Center. At the corner of Barker Cypress Road and West Road. The property belongs to Cypress-Fairbanks School District.
Differences do make the Newsboys fresh - no doubt everyone has their own opinions. However, as far as the Christian message is portrayed live, there is no doubt Peter has an edge. The band is insane and always has been - wow wow wow. Peter just has a voice so direct that has never been portrayed so purely. He only sings about God and His inspiration. It is amazing how he comes across to show God's love. :) :) :)
I went to a concert as a young teen it was pretty awesome . What’s really awesome is how strong their band is even now . Their music is still being played and people are going to their concerts even 20 years later . A lot of Christian contemporary bands didn’t make it very far ... tHe Newsboys killed it though !
+Andre Gouvea Agreed. I'm glad they're still going, but I think with a new front man they should have changed the name. Peter Furler really made the Newsboys the Newsboys in my opinion.
Newsboys United!!! 2018 Too bad they don't have more venues. I would drive to see them but wow - not enough big city places to validate 300 dollars in travel + tix. Four months isn't enough for a tour - but really what is with the small places? NONE in Illinois or Wisconsin? Come on, newsies
The Newsboys haven't been the same since Peter left, it's such a shame he's not in the band anymore they were the number 1 christian band, they're more comercial nowadays, they're still good but it's not shortly the same
I will try to locate the interview with Peter and his wife that will enlighten you on the scenario at the time. Be patient please while I dig back into RU-vid. I'll have to think back how I stumble upon it. :)
I've seen and met the Newsboys of the 90's and the current lineup, they are two completely different bands really...with Michael they sound much more up to date, the last show we saw 2 months ago was awesome, better than toby mac's show in my opinion.
It's like comparing Skillet as it is now, to how it was when it formed. Both are good. Best? totally subjective. I like Michael Tait, but I might like Peter Furler a bit more.
