Newstead Abbey the hidden treasure with beautiful wildlife and beautiful lakes cascading down the most amazing waterfall and then trickling down to the bottom lake where the swans and geese shine there beauty upon us.. 🦆

Its more then worth going to Newstead abbey just to read the poem on Byron's dog's grave. I noticed it on one of my rare long walks during lock down and it really is a beautiful thing to read

One of my blood relatives Alice strelley was married to Lord Byron !! That's so cool ! We both used to own this amazing place :)

@@owendavies5231 hi Owen, yes that is so cool, I want to find out more information about Lord Byron. I was also a blood relative of Princess Diana but it was over 100 years ago. My dad did family history after my mom passed away. He worked in San Francisco at the archives helping the public and in his spare time he did our families history, going way back. So we are related as well! Very cool indeed. Have a beautiful day!
