So good that you're doing Newtonian!!! Love this series...you even influenced me to play it!! I totally agree with you about the funding though...it seems ridiculous to ditch the ISS for no good reason...but anyway, can't wait to see more!!! :D
The reason apparently for getting rid of the ISS is that more money is put into it than it makes. But I still think there should be more reasons to get rid of it.
@@FTLnovaKid But thats the thing, it doesn't need to make any money as its a base for space exploration and scientific research...if they ditch it then we will take ANOTHER step back like we did when they got rid of the shuttle programme.....
The ISS' metal backbone and frame has endured decades of cosmic and solar radiation. The metal, mostly aluminum, is strong but all matter degrades under gamma bombardment and other, high-frequency radiation like X-ray. The space station is nearing entry into some of its structural metals' integrity 'risk points'. I believe the radiation exposure risk points are defined in terms of time, and I think NASA said they expect the frame integrity to grow slightly riskier (more frail due to degradation) in 5-10 years.
YES!! I was hoping you guys would do this on newtonian. Remember to use the tethers this time, YOU WILL just float away into space and have no way back.
Picked this game up over the weekend and played it with my friend, MAN is it disorienting when you loose track of which hand is which. Ended up getting airlock'd out into space... :)
I also bought Heavenly Bodies because of you guys. I tried going Newtonian from the start, it was a pretty maddening first couple hours of play. But, of course it got easier and became one of the most enjoyable games in a long time.
I am waaayy too excited for this. Already watched Zach's, but that isn't stopping me from watching your's. Very glad you two are revisiting this game. Legitimately haven't laughed so hard to YT content in...fucking ever!
So to further explain the decommissioning of the ISS, NASA plan to work with the private sector by using CLDs, commercial LEO destinations to do their work from. My assumption is that they found it cheaper to let private companies make these CLDs as the ISS has a pretty big running cost.
Buggs, I've watched nearly every video you and your friends have made together. I appreciate all your efforts and look forward to all your content. This series is especially funny and Zack always brings his humor. The two of you together is priceless. Peace.
YES! Ive been waiting for this. I got this game because of you guys and i challenged myself to do newtonian first try and get all the collectibles. It took me almost 12 hours to do it 😂
If Slasher is still a game mode, you should play it again with Dave and Ryan and everyone else. I've been rewatching those videos and that mode kills me
PLEASE do the whole playthrough on Newtonian! If this was the 1st episode on Newtonian, and I've been laughing so much, I can't imagine what the rest will be like!
They are decommissioning it but nato has already made a multi national agreement for a newer updated station. And it’s not being brought down till like 2030 or something
Um my sir what is the reason for parentheses in your name because it’s seems like there is a reference in the periodic table but F is for iron but fantom and iron are two different things while looking at your name it confuses me even more to the point where I am just making up obscurity’s just to solidify my mind to completion but every time
I DIED laughing every episode. It’s been hilarious watching this series, and the other odd games that have been thrown into the line up recently as well.
@@kameelmohammed4683 Covid had nothing to do with it, politics and private companies did. Firstly, it's a good move politically prior to an election, it's valued by many people. Secondly, with the rapid privatization of space travel, which I'm all for, it creates competition, which drives down prices, and companies have always been more efficient with a dollar than governments, it won't take long for private stations to be developed. NASA intends to become a customer of those private stations, and has already awarded $415.6 million to private companies to design their stations.
