Absolutely wonderful build. I quickly got into watching this build because I'd like to rebuild my old PG kits and repaint them. Ive invested in an airbrush and just need to practice to really get the hang of it, this vid gives a good idea what to try. Will mess with some spoons before diving too far in. Im hoping to clean, battle damage mod, and paint PG Wing Zero Custom and RX-78. This gives me more ideas and options for changing and LEDs, and painting custom color schemes for both. RX-78 might stick to slight traditional colors, but Wing will get a full shift and make over. I'm hoping to use the skills learned from this project to build and customize my new kits coming in, MG Barbatos, MG Psycho Zaku, PG Astray Red Frame Kai, and finally the big daddy HG 1/144 Dendrobium Orchis Gundam. I'm excited to use everything I learn to make Dendrobium unique and fun, fit with LED lighting for tasteful effect, and style of post battle effects. I'm going to go through more of your vid to learn as much as i can while I too take the plunge with my two old kits.

Excited for this project. I myself am looking to complete the wing series in MG form. All I need left to gather for kits it TG3, Heavyarms Custom, Deathsscythe Custom, Wing Custom and Nataku. I even have the HG 1/100 Serpent Custom.

I prefer the 'Glory of the Losers' manga more than the TV anime series more these days. So I hope you do all of the Endless Waltz MGs. This color scheme is similar to the TITANS scheme, at least IMO. Looking forward to your take on the rest of the EW kits, I am waiting for my collection of EW kits from Premium Bandai as they put them up for sale on the EN/NA site pretty recently (though pre-orders are down for all of them I think now). I also recently built the new MG Ver. Ka wing, it's really nice. Have a good day dude.

it'd be cool to see a sort of battered and damaged custom version of this, could use EL tape on the scythe blade and wrap the wiring around the handle to make it look cobbled together

The problem you’re probably going to run into is the inner frame getting tedious because there’s quite a bit that’s shared between them. This kit was probably my first “good” paint job, I went with a darker color scheme much closer to the film, with a dark gray rather than a purple and a pure black instead of a navy. I absolutely adore it. This is and probably will always be my favorite Wing kit, even after I finish the Deathscythe Rousette and Wing Custom Ver. ka. when it finally comes in the mail.

if only there was a reasonable way to get the entire set of them... like you said - p-bandai isnt fun. tallgeese and the altron EW are the two suits id LOVE to get even tho they are premiums. great work man!

Heavyarms is good and all but if you do build it I recommend to use a metal chain for the ammo belt

I actually have this kit the few things that are a pain is in the head the red pieces that go on the side always fall off and the red piece that connects to the yellow piece doesn't like to stay connected and the yellow piece has a crack on it but it's not noticable.

Man do you have any tips for doing shading with the Vallejo metal colors? They’re just SO opaque they seem to just coat everything more than I may want.

Awesome build, I hope one day to be as good as that lol. I am actually trying to find that Vallejo Burnt Iron paint, but can't seem to find it anywhere in stock, what would you recommend as an alternative to achieve that same look?

Your way to install Led is a bit complicated, and the clear part is easily to be broken. Put the Led into H14, just one led is enough.

I bet Batman would pilot the deathsythe hell 😂
