i watched them treat 2/3 Citizens like 💩.. i had to let them know Report the Officer to Internal Affairs…It’s sad to see them treat Citizens Like they have no rights
Id like to say that I don’t understand why simply getting a complaint Form is so hard… But I do understand the reason why. The reason is; you can be prosecuted for giving false info on a form. The supervisors will try to get you to Pre-Warn them by taking your complaint verbally, which allows them to twist what you’re saying and minimize your concern. But it also gives them time to fabricate excuses for the officer. Made worse by; after you verbally give your complaint, the supervisor will often write it out In HIS Words, but expect you to sign stating that it’s your words. (That’s a trap.) Always TAKE the Form. Go home and fill out the form using any notes, video, or other info you have to ensure accuracy. Then have an attorney read it over to ensure that there is nothing that you can be prosecuted for (slander, false statements, etc). Make copies of the complaint form. Send a copy to the chief, IA, your lawyer, but I’d also include the mayor/city council, and retain a copy for yourself. The mayor/council copy is to ensure the complaint gets addressed. Do follow-ups if there’s no response. A chief or IA may ignore you, but the mayor/council, even if they try ignoring you, they will contact the chief demanding that the matter be addressed even if it’s just so that you stop contacting the mayor/council. The copy you keep is so that if you get a follow up phone call/interview, never answer questions, only read from your complaint. They will try to twist your wording, if they can, they can claim you are changing your story. Which they use to discredit your complaint.
