Looking forward to it. I was introduced to non-Hymnal-Christian music in the 80's. From Petra, White Heart, Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant and Keith Green to BJ Thomas, the Communion series and Maranatha singers. I learned a huge variety. Excited to hear what you included.
Dry and thirsty land... like the fields...harvest is ready...workers are few... Praying for boldness in the Spirit to share/declare the Gospel (and to live it) so that while are words may say....our walk matches the talk so that God does not say....yet your hearts are not for Me. Create in us a clean heart...Oh God 😇💪🙏
I'm confused. Why are you saying Happy Sabbath? One of God's commandments , is to keep the Sabbath holy. This Sabbath is on the 7th day which is Saturday. I just don't understand what you are wishing him?
@@DavidWesley im sorry, I didn't mean any disrespect, I keep the Sabbath, so I was curious on the greeting to you from an evangelical point of view only.. You are very talented and I have been following you for years. I feel inwas respectful in my question..
@@rodgarant3875 @Rod Garant I texted Shabbat Shalom approx 12 hrs ago. Although it is still saturday on the east coast of the United States of America, the Shabbat has now ended at sundown. It started friday evening at sundown. I was well within the timeframe of the Sabbath day. I greet many people that way, erev Shabbat- in the evening and also during the next day. It is a blessing to keep Shabbat, a day of rest from hustling, traffic, argueing, being stressed, from work. And yes i have worked on Shabbat. I didnt like it, but i did when i needed to. At this time after sundown, i say shavua tov. Now that we have gone back into to the everyday grind, it is a greeting to have a blessed and good week. Shavua tov all. Blessings 😊
@@mem3769 I have been keeping the Sabbath and all holy days for a long time. It just seemed strange that you were wishing no Sabbath keepers Shabat shalom. As evangelical Christians go to church on Sunday. All good, I didn't mean any disrespect I was just confused.
Hey David Wwly. I will be looking forward to see your new project come out. My Favorite Worship Songs of the '80's: Prayer is the key, It's A Bubbling and Lord I Know You've Been So Good.
Looking forward to hearing what you do next. Will go back and listen to the music 🎶 you've made that i haven't heard. We would indeed be disappointed if you weren't able to complete your new project 😞. However, God has anointed you and He will give you the strength to endure. Blessings to you and your families David Wesley 🙏🏽 ❤ 🫂
I'm excited! Was just thinking yesterday, that I wish more Christian music from back then were played nowadays. I really love Keith Green, Amy Grant and Dion ("I put away my idols" & "Day of the Lord") looking forward to this, thank you 😍
I enjoy your work, especially the medleys. I saw the first one and shared with everyone. I'm anxiously awaiting this. I was introduced to Christian music in 1984. I'd been in church all my life... the kind of church that only songs acapella... in a small town with two radio stations. We moved to the city and a friend I made at the new church played the Amy Grant Straight Ahead album for me. I was hooked. (She also introduced me to her brother...and we've been married for nearly 35years with two wonderful sons.😁)
Looking forward to the next video! Will you be bringing back 'Shine Jesus Shine' per chance? It's not my favorite worship song now, but when I was a kid it was! Love your work!
My favorite songs in the 80s were Majesty, Something About That Name and I Love You, Lord. I'm guessing there will be lots of songs from that green praise songs and choruses paperback book.
I’m excited to see Amy Grant in the mix. I have strong memories of singing her songs in the car with my big sister, who died in 2002. I love listening to those oldies like El Shadai or anything from that time frame honestly. Her and Michael W Smith were truly amazing!!! I watched a documentary by them recently called The Jesus Music. Highly recommend!
Awesome God (the one that does Our God is an awesome God, he reigns from Heaven above) and Lord, I lift your name on high are two of my favorites. If one of those aren't at least included, well, I guess I'll be disappointed, but I'll understand if you're unable to include them.
Bryan Duncan -Holy Rollin/ Don't ya wanna Rap, Steve Camp-Fire and Ice, Steve Taylor - It's a personal thing/ This disco used to be a cute Cathedral, Morgan Cryar- Break the chain/ I'm not alone. just to name a few of my favorites. When times get tough they take me back to a simpler time when I didn't have so many worries and knew I could trust God and His word implicitly.
Well, I'm hoping to hear King of Kings, one of my favorite Petra songs from back in the day! But I'm sure I'll love whatever you include; I always do 💜
Hello. I'm a huge fan from Zambia. I love all your music and it would mean so much to me if you would sing the hymnal 'Love at home'. It's my favourite song and I'd love a version of it with your voice.
About the only one I can think of off the top of my head is “our God is an awesome God,“ which to me just about symbolizes 1980s worship. And seeing as how you included it in the OG evolution video, and since like I said it seems to symbolize the time. For me, it would be a shame to leave it out. God bless.
Love how you create these medleys, can't wait to hear. So many memories in the eighties. I loved Steve Green the most. I listen to such an array of Christian music back then: Southern, Bluegrass and modern Christian music. Blessings to you and yours. ❤🙏
Here are a few favs by Andre Crouch. Through it All, The Blood Will Never Lose its Power, and Soon and Very Soon. Paul Wilbur with the group Harvest Sing Hallelujah- Ps 95 Don Moen- Give Thanks, What A Mighty GOD We Serve, I Am The GOD That Healeth Thee Just a few to think about. Blessings
