When you screen out the rest of the people... and then groom the young ones... and then block the rest... Well.... Then all the adults. Sell their own wares, and fight those other adults down.... Well.... This is trained Japanese military level candidates...
This young woman is a knowledge enthusiast, impressively navigating her path in programming and cybersecurity while conducting scientific research at NASA-all by the age of 18. She’s truly a prodigy. Thank you, David, for sharing this wonderfully motivational video.
so motivating and refreshing to watch Angelina. Her educational content is needed for adults as well not only for children. It is so inspiring for adults to see already known concepts through a fresh pair of eyes.
@@onegrapefruitlover "normal" she literally admitted to taking programming classes in elementary school, idk what kind of "normal" elementary school has programming classes
@@TegridyMadeGames Which kind of normal elementary school has programming classes? Easy: The ones from the future. Humans have been continuously moving the goalpost of what is possible. “Gifted individuals” don’t exist in a vacuum, they’re the result of extremely successful teaching practices from a very young age, those that cultivate the children’s natural curiosity, helping them develop a passion for learning. It’s a social achievement as much as a technical one. Research about how talent is developed is promising. We likely won’t see that with our own eyes, though. Societies (and their teaching models) change very slowly so they’ll take a long time before catching up with what is possible for a few people right now.
a lot of gen z is actually like this surprisingly. Go to a top 3 public school in places like johns creek georgia where a lot of asians flock towards and youll see many people like her at school. Socioeconomic difference honestly. The hood doesnt have things like SAT after school programs
Actually know people like her. And not just a couple. Obviously if you pick a random person of the age from the street it will take you maybe 40 or 50 picks to find one of those people. But around tech they really accumulate. It is an ongoing trend.
I have been in this industry 30+ years and feel like I literally found a new hero to look up to. Absolutely wise and impressive. I can't wait to see where she goes in the future.
Such an amazing young lady! Her brain is packed with all the research she did I learned a lot listening to her. Thank you for featuring her. Angelina is saving the world!
I guarantee thank under going intense, self-directed dual language learning was HUGE part of this girl's success. A facility w/ language is so key to learning almost everything
16:41 I think one point that may not be apparent to some people is that Angelina is emphasizing that the neural network she implemented is a CNN (Convolutional Neural Network), which is architecturally different from a GPT type neural network. It is not designed to generated anything, but to extract features and patterns from input data. I think many people nowadays associate ML or neural networks automatically to chatGPT or LLM/generative type networks, which is not the case. There are many types of ML/deep learning networks.
They were all basically built at DARPA and shipped to the City of London Financial Centre for testing. Hava Seigal,, or Seigelman, from the University of Jerusalem, working at DARPA, was a high up in the R&D. In London it was recognised as NLP, or Natural Language Processing, for algorithms for bank security. Soon as the banks wrapped it up they sacked all the puter hedz, lol
Could you write a little more about it? So, in my understanding military tech was specifically designed to "law abiding citizens" of City of London? Or was it just handed over to them?
@janeh3775 this, my ex was always trying to make excuses. Maybe adhd, maybe autism, this that or the other thing. Instead of starting from the beginning by exercising, eating something other than chips, and not sc4olling tiktok for 6hrs/day. Many ppl r struggling with self accountability these days.
@@Nobody-vr5nl exactly. we are now seeing the effects these things have on people, but since they’re good for business, its not really “officially” declared as causing behavioural issues. and since its not officially declared, many people just carry on, take no accountability and pay for meds to only treat the symptoms.
@Nobody-vr5nl I walk 5m a day I eat well not meat no oily foods. I exercise daily, and I sleep on time. I have a six pack, I train bjj and mma I work hard, and it is still hard. What's your point?
It definitely also helps having actually knowledge parents, about emotions and facts of life, than having to survive during childhood and then spending most of young adulthood first stumbling around and then committing to self work.
This is a perfect example why school after 7th grade should be specialized and individualized... Whatever your passion is, then that's what a young person should get to pursue the rest of their highschool years. Instead of continue to teach history and all these unnecessary classes... The skills and specific passion should be the only class you focus on from 8th to 12th grade
I disagree, personally I hated stuff especially English in my earlier years, it was only later that I grew to appreciate it as fundamental being someone who was thought of as somewhat talented in math
I agree 100%. Learning things during a period of your life when you’re uninterested in, is just a waste of time since you’ll forget it all. I appreciate history now, more than I did back then. Still close to nothing remained of all the lessons I had because I hated it and found it boring. Yet physics and maths is almost as fresh as if it was taught to me yesterday because I loved what I was doing. Good teachers also are vital to intrigue interest in young minds.
I agree, however history is one of the most important subjects a student can learn but it should be real history and not the watered down version that is taught in schools
When i see her as a next Gen Hacker and i take a look at my 19 year old son sleepin on the sofa....i have really doubts that all Next Gen Kids are like she is. Angelina is a very special, high intelligent girl. She is a very unique young woman. A great video also from you Mr @Bombal ! I can see it in your eyes that you are very impressed by this young lady. By the way: I love also your udemy training courses! They are highly professional and i love to learn with them! And yes: we are never too old to learn new stuff! Never stop! Keep goin forward and use what you got! Because its a lot today!
She's incredible, but the bit about age goes against the fundamental rules of neuroplasticity. She started young, and that's the key. If you're older, it's possible but MUCH harder. Be real with the public.
Thank you so much for interviewing Angelina. What an amazing person; such resilience, intelligence, creativity, resourcefulness, and compassion. She’s a testament to being introduced to STEM areas of study early on, continuing on the path through the education system, and parental involvement in creating opportunities for them to pursue their interests. Finally, I can’t help but believe that her Japanese origins and upbringing were a part of her growth as Japanese language and culture is very left brain focused while the English language and culture is more right brained. Developing, exercising, and continually using both is a gift and is something that is part nature (biology/internal) and nurture (environment/external).
Wow, simply - wow.... David (and team) thanks for sharing such an amazing story - future looks a bit brighter with such youngsters!!!! the best of luck, Angelina!
shes remarkably intelligent, well spoken, and seems verk kind. great job mom. shes an inspiration for me as a 33 year old whos just began a career shift into coding/comp sci/soft dev. Thanks for the interview David and Angelina! ]
Angelina you have inspired this old head to pursue his dreams and his passion again. Appreciate you and the work you are doing for the community. Keep going and i wish you all the success in this life!!! 🙏🏼
21:42 YES!! I am a sailor and instead of ADSB we use AIS. Ones on the Sea of Marmara I saw a ship appear on the AIS receiver. It was set to be on collision course with me. If it was real I had to alter course quickly, but I hesitated for a while. I couldn't see it on my radar or visually. My heart was POUNDING in my throat. If that happened during bad visibility or during a storm I would have altered course. I need to make one for AIS!
Go Angelina! -- and respectfully; I can't help to think how many neuroscientists would love to study her brain simply to learn more how to unlock the drive and passion that she processes! Her dedication and ethics are a true inspiration for most of us in the field, and even those on other fields.
David. Can you simply ask her what does she eats so I can give the same menu to my kids? Awesome guest, awesome host you are David, awesome lessons from a young earthling. Thank you for your work with your channel,David. Salutations from France.
Truly a great interview. This young woman's intellect and focus has greatly renewed my hope for the future of humanity. Fostering the natural interests and inclinations of gifted and indeed all children is so important. It's wonderful to hear that she teaches and mentors younger people in addition to doing her professional research and programming. Inspirational!
This is my story: I first got my hands on a computer when I was 10 years old, and I taught myself how to use the computer, but I never knew about programming because I am from a third-world country with no internet yet. My passion about computers was so strong that I started to experiment, like how to install games and software. I was around 13 to 15 when I started to think about pirating movies, like we used to hire CDs from a rental store, and I wanted to copy all those movies and sell them for myself, but I didn't know how to do it because we still had no internet connection. When I turned 17, I finally got an internet connection, and I became a script kiddie by downloading random apps, and one of them was a Keylogger, so whenever my family or friends would use my computer, their passwords would be saved, and I could see their passwords, and it felt amazing! Fast forward, I was told to stop experimenting on my computer by certain people who didn't know about computers, and I used to feel bad towards my elders who scolded me or told me I'm not good enough, when I was clearly better than someone who didn't know what they were talking about. I am in my early 30s now, and watching this video and hearing about Angelina's stories just reminded me of my younger self, and I couldn't be happier! Thank you, David and Angelina!
I think something she said is a key take away, you don’t always get rewarded for your efforts, but in the process if nothing else you gain knowledge. And even if you fail, it makes you a better person.
Waoww really really amazing video 👃👃👃 Im 46 years old lost my job and try since three years to study in Bachelor on computer I.T ; but i lack of knowledge in math and physics and failed several time....😵 Everybody in class see me like a donkey ... like "Hey man you don't belong here , Why you so stubborn .... " It's not for you you got not the capacity to understand basic fundamentals of computing" This young prodigy give me hope to fight harder to get more knowledge in cybersecurity ,basic networks and programing languages Good work Mr Bombal Thanks for all these interesting tutorials God Bless you
Don’t beat yourself up. You just need to decide what “Steve” (or “Stephanie”) you want to be. If you have an imagination and a dream (Steve Jobs of the world) create a company and hire those to implement (Steve Wozniak’s of the world) You got this!
Super impressive, Honestly! She's literally that "When I was your age" Asian Parent! It's amazing what she was able to accomplish at her young age and, her mindset is really good! ❤
Interviews like this shouldn't be edited too much, and the responses should not be scripted. As a young person I would not like to be manipulated into believing that someone else my age is at the fake level I'm never going to achieve.
Feel you. You know, I’m old now. But when I was young, there where same high flyer kids in the media all around. Most of the time their rich and well educated parents made everything up. So I overcame to be intimidated, and went my hard own way. Without having a parents like that. And now look at me: I am just average and live an average life😂👍the hard work didn’t pay off. So, my advice: get rich parents. Or a really good Mentor. That’s the short cut. So
So young, and already with an incredible and beautiful mindset about our work in technology and its importance in the world. It's absolutely inspiring.
Translation businesses who do not have good IT process are going feel pain. Just imagine this kid doing well, but imagine kids who are habitual line steppers willing to cause chaos with her drive to learn more.
much respect. A perfect example that its not what you do for your kids that makes them successful, but what they have to do for themselves that will give them drive and success. Impressive skillset young lady, i wish you every success in the future. Somehow I dont think this is the last time we hear about Angelinas accomplishments.
"Whiz kid gets college degree at 18" pops up every 2-3 years. It's a cute story, if you omit the trade offs (social development, high stress, etc). "Young woman finds her passion, puts it to practical use in the workforce, builds THAT resume, still loves the work" (
Awesome this young woman inspired me. I take my lpi this week Wednesdays. Ive done diligence and expected to pass. First of many certificates i plan to get in my quest to be a cyber expert working from home in Jamaica where the wife and i have just built our forever home.
What an inspiration she is to not only young people but everyone! I wish her all the best and wish she will continue to succeed in her endeavours. Thank you for bringing her to the show.
12:09 is a significant statement that all should recognize. That said, do not live in a vacuum! Document your success and failures to accelerate progress.
What a remarkable and inspirational Human! Goes to show age can really be “just a number”, that cannot limit anyone with a passion and drive to pursue it. I’m also confronted with the reality of how much of my life I have wasted, but that’s either here not there 😅😅 Great interview!
this happens to a person when their curiosity about tech doesn't revolve around beg-bounty, It is not a waste of human resources, props to her i hope all hackers can follow.
She's very inspiring. I love the positive energy and how intelligent her adoption and adaptation of helpful tooling is. She's got a pragmatic approach.
man, first props to her for being a genius, but I have to say between the weird cuts sometimes when shes talking, and the specific way shes talking.. feels like the best deepfake/ai person Ive ever seen
Thank you for this interview and she is now my new idol! I’m so dumb and have no talent for cybersecurity or coding but I’m trying my best to try to contribute in this field and hopefully to find my position in the future
wow my comment/story was censored... I guess that just a sign of the times.... anyhow.. She's a proponent of opensource too! She truly is amazing. Free the knowledge!
She hacked my brain. The world needs more humans like this. Congrats on mastering being a real human at such a young age. There is hope in the world yet.
Really fascinating interview. A lot of the topics were very engaging bc I am scanner radio enthusiast, including monitoring aircraft and sat frequencies. Also I'm a ham radio operator and have worked ISS and sats. And I'm a computer, opensource and linux enthusiast. All my machines and servers run linux.
Her challenge is going to be maintaining focus and distance between herself and those who would exploit her drives. These are the things that hold back and take down all the great ones. I know... I was programming at the age of 7 and developing games on my Timex Sinclair membrane computer in the early 80s in BASIC. Continued with the radio shack color computer, and lost my abilities due to family problems. I eventually freed myself from that situation and became an electrical engineer in the power field but watching her it makes me think of what could've been, had I had that support and focus early on. ❤
