I was really worried about what NZ would do at 8 and I think this young lad Hoskins Sotutu is that man to me. Such a talent. So NZ may have an 8 who can carry the ball again. No disrespect to Reid, legend player, but it sure would be nice to see Hoskins in that position. NZ look like they can build a magnificent side again looking at the quality. Forwards look strong, backs always strong, so bring it, hehe. Not sure who you put at 10 though.
All being well, yet another genuine future All Black N0: 8 has hit town. For me, 8 is a specialist player position; a hugely important part of the 'spine' of the team. Ardie is a superb flanker, so too Tom Curry for the English. For me, watching Ardie, and Tom playing 8 is like, "Nah". They are simply not 8's in the moulds of say; Kieran Read, Billy V, Duane V, or Louis Picamoles. Good luck for the future Hoskins.
Mercurial skill sets, defense, attack, footwork, slick passing game. I think his biggest asset is his vision for No 8. Heard he once was a back....not surprised. he wouldnt look out of place there as well. Basketball skills and Water polo. Has that 'Zinny" about him. Like what I see......Need game changers.
Seems to have all the skills required to become something special....kinda reminds me of Zinney,defensive skills,can carry the ball up strongly,good passing and running game and can kick when required.....reasonably new to top level and will undoubtedly come under repeated pressure from other teams due to his abilities so well see how how he comes through that but definitely someone who could fit into an all black jersey in the foreseeable future
I'm Fijian and think he should play for NZ. He was born and raised here. It would be different if he was scouted from Fiji to NZ, kinda like Sevu Reece. Plus Fiji have Mata, Yato and Kunatani.
