What is Next Generation NCLEX? What are the new changes? Is it going to be tougher or easier? Let's see all the aspects of the exam in this video.
This video is in Malayalam language to help nurses from Kerala who are planning to write next generation NCLEX exam.
Starting from April 2023 there are going to be significant changes to the exam.
In the new exam format, you can see a lot of case scenarios or case study based questions.
Always remember we need to apply critical thinking to all the questions along with the knowledge acquired through systematic studying.
Try to practice a lot of questions on a daily basis. Don't be surprised to see a lot of changes in the new format but be prepared and we will see it getting easier and easier by practice. I would suggest doing atleast 50-60 questions per day. recommend practicing up to 100 questions per day as you near your exam date, and this will help you become familiar with the new question types and ensure that you are prepared for the exam.
Here are the different types of questions,
1. Extended multiple response NCLEX questions
2. Extended drag-and-drop NCLEX questions
3. Cloze (drop-down) NCLEX questions
4. Matrix/Grid NCLEX questions
5. Enhanced hot spot (highlighting)
There is also a change in the number of questions in the next Generation NCLEX RN Exam. You have to answer a minimum of 70 questions and a maximum of 135 questions.
The scoring system also changes. There is also negative marking system in this new generation NCLEX.
