I try to invest in production improvements for the business each year. This year it was time to add a firewood conveyor to the production fleet. This conveyor will speed up production considerably allowing me to produce firewood faster and much more efficiently.

I've wanted one for ages. I'm a small time firewood burner, but I really like the conveyor. You got it going on. Well done my friend.

It's been nice. Just getting used to it right now, but my shoulders are thanking me already.

I've been wanting a conveyor for quite some time. I've been looking at old farm hay conveyors and they are still rather pricey. I just looked up these and these are made for firewood, new and not much more than a used farm conveyor. I didn't even consider this company...i didn't know they sold stand alone. Thank you very much for this video. With that SuperSplit your wood yard now is on the next level. Great job.

Thanks! I looked for used conveyors as well and they are just as much and not designed for firewood. This will be a huge help with production. Glad the video was useful for you, thanks for stopping in!

Glad the conveyor is working out. I just talked to someone today about one and probably going to order it in the next few days. I think their "dealers' here in the US have a lot to be desired, I called several and only one picked up the phone and another one called back 6 hours later and the rest were no shows which makes me a bit nervous if I ever needed something. Im glad they went with a chain drive with cleats, less potential for break downs (ripped/torn belts). Ive needed a conveyor for a few years now just to speed things up, I'm 54 and physically fit but after doing landscaping all day then flinging pieces of wood for a couple hours Im spent , it took me almost 2 hours to load my 16ft dump trailer with about 2 cords and it was right by the pile lol but flinging those pieces more than a few feet wrecks your shoulders. I had a Super Split and loved it most of the time but ended up selling it after 2 years (for what I paid for it) and bought a Eastonmade ULTRA and a Wolferidge skid steer splitter to break down the big stuff and both are built like tanks but I always thought they were crazy priced on their conveyors. I'm sure if you keep this lubed and sprayed down with something like Fluid Film on the chain and trough it will last many years.

Got mine yesterday and all put together, here's my thoughts (short term) it wasn't too bad to put together but my God put some updated instructions in the damn create! Yes you can print off some but the pictures in some cases left me guessing. I wasn't missing anything, not even a washer and it was a good idea of the bots being attached to the different pieces so there wasn't guessing if you have the right bolts and nuts. I wish they used better. hardware, its all held together with maybe grade 4-5 hardware (wished they used grade 8) but I'll be spraying the entire machine down with Crown or Fluid Film spray to help with the rust. Some other things are some of the hoses seem to run in bad spots like the ones from the control levers to the rear pump, they go right over the rear jack handle so its difficult to crank up the jack. the needle valve is about useless so you have to feather the control lever or else the trough goes up violently. Wish they had support stands on the trough itself. The whole thing took me about 5-5.5 hours to put together and you will need 2 people to flip over the 2 trough pieces once they are bolted together and sit it on the conveyor and line everything up. The chain was a PITA to install, it was getting caught up in all the framing and hoses trying to run it from front to back and what I did (being by myself) was ran the chain top and bottom, got it as tight as I could (both ends were basically in the middle of the trough) then used a large wrench to put in between the chain and end of trough to keep the chain from rolling back then that gave me enough stretch to put the chain together then had to tension the chain up quite a bit and made sure they were equal measurements on both sides. Then, I put in all the fluids (about 2.5 gallons of hydraulic fluid total and about 3/4 of a quart of engine oil) and after some oopp's on my part it fired right up and ran great. Fully extended I bet it's 11-12ft tall if not a bit higher. This will save me a lot of time and glad it goes as high as it does so I can stack wood up very tall. Listen, it's not a Wolfe Ridge or Eastonmade but its not 13k either but there is definite room for improvement!

I consider the price point and for that it's not too bad. Mine has been ticking right along filling bags for me. Starts every time I pull it. Yes, I need to watch the belt tracking, but I know this so it's no big deal for the price. If I paid 4xs the price for it, I would be angry, but I didn't.

Where did you get your firewood bag rack/stand from? I enjoyed watching your SuperSplitter at work! I am thinking of getting one of those! Thank you for the video!!

Would this work for dirt? Seems to work very well. Nice video. We’re did your snow go? lol.

@puddlejumper3534 I think you could use for dirt, but the hopper isn't that large so could only use a shovel or maybe an excavator with a small bucket on it. Our snow has been gone for a bit now. Supposed to get some this Wednesday, then 50°F the next day. HA

ah, that makes sense. The conveyor speed will go faster if you speed up the motor. In this video it's at idle because that is all the faster I need it to go.

@@saratogafirewood that's awesome! I'm a bit south of that amount across mine by around 190 some. Good to hear it's been holding up for you though. Seems like it's quality for the price.
