It's not such a bad idea (and you can't blame them for doing so) for elite level college players in the Philippines to maybe play (and make REALLY GOOD money) till they're 25 or 26 in an international league, and then return to the Philippines to play in the PBA when they're 26 or 27. The fans in the Philippines will still be able to enjoy watching the prime years (usually 26-32) of those players. On the other hand, if the PBA wants to avoid losing more and more elite college players to international leagues, the best solution I can think of is lowering the PBA age limit to 20 years old (on draft day) and being in college for at least 2-years. Something like that. Of course, the UAAP and NCAA will have something to say about that, but something's got to give. Just my two cents.
