Well I'm excited about the next DLC, but I'm hoping to find out what anniversary animal for all versions, also I'm hoping to find out what animals I'm hoping for for the aforementioned DLC. I also wonder how many animals for the final DLC, since it's been bigger than the rest of the DLCs? Like 12, 14, or 20 animals, I think??

Here is what I hope for, a Zookeeper collection pack with 12 animals; 6 Habitat - Secretary Bird, Hamadryas Baboon, Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo, Walrus, Spectacled Bear and Markhor. 6 exhibit - Tomato Frog, Alligator Snapping Turtle, King Cobra, Emerald Tree Boa, Madagascar Day Gecko, Veiled Chameleon. And then for the final anniversary animal, the Budgerigar or a Lorikeet in the Walkthrough Exhibit

Well assuming the 200 hundred animals max is correct, and that the Tree Kangaroo, Baboon and Secretary Bird are confirmed, im going to say these are the other 10 I want (with substitutes for some) 1. Walrus 2. Musk Ox (or Wild Yak) 3. Pallas Cat 4. Spectacled Bear 5. Markhor (or Himalayan Tahr) 6. White-Faced Saki (or Golden Lion Tamarin) 7. Raccoon Dog 8. Pere David's Deer 9. Short Beaked Echidna 10. Aye-aye Honorable mention: Green Anaconda, but only if it was a habitat animal. Since I doubt they'd do that, my favorite snake ends up here

It's an animal pack, so there might be a very limited number of pieces if they even decide to add pieces. They only did this with the Barnyard animal pack. 😅

Same. I rather have new building pieces and nature pieces than animals. New pieces is what keeps the game fresh, new animals not so much. You can only build so many habitats before it starts feeling repetitive unless you get some fresh pieces

But what would you want there? There is already everything: straw, wood, concrete, stone, wall, all in different designs and individually colorable. I think you can build anything with the parts you have. The most I could imagine is decoration. So more new murals or something like that.

Really wouldnt count on frontier adding flying birds in Planet Zoo one. They are definitely saving them for Zoo 2. I have not seen Toucan mentioned in the list with animals I received. Parrot is probably referring to a pirate statue with a parrot in Coaster 1.

Since the Twilight DLC I expected that there would be birds in the next DLC and then butterflies came 😂 then I thought OK, not then, but definitely in the next one... yes... maybe in the next one and then I gave up believing it.

I’m going to wait until next week to see what’s in the new pack before I get too excited about any new birds being in there. But we know there is a good chance the tree kangaroo, Secretary bird, and hamadryas baboon are coming and maybe some surprises for us 🤷‍♀️

I hope they’ll have sea otters, gaur, rockhopper penguins, blackbuck, blesbok, chital, Asian palm civet, black & white colobus, common marmoset, Also some other birds like the rainbow lorikeet, bald eagle, golden breasted starling, Atlantic puffin, mallard, birds of paradise, blue & yellow macaw, toco toucan, black naped monarch, spectacled owl, snowy owl to name some.

Tbh, I just want the Short-beaked Echidna, Perentie, Brushtail Possum and Black Caiman. I would say Green Anaconda but habitat snakes seem like a Planet Zoo 2 thing.

I'm not even going to try and predict what the animals could be. I do agree, I hope they save flying birds for pz2, the engine in its current state just cannot with real flying mechanics. If I get my entire wishlist, we'll get black backed jackals or coyotes, bobcats, tree kangaroos, ball pythons for the exhibit animal, puffins, indian lions, and tanuki. I'm willing to bet none of those will be on the list, but after this mods won't have to fight with stability updates anyway so I'm not fussed regardless.

These are the twelve habitat animals I think are in the pack: Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroo Hamadryas Baboon Honey Badger Secretary Bird Southern Tamandua South American Coati Malagasy Giant Rat Hanuman Langur Musk Ox Walrus Golden Lion Tamarin Gelada Baboon These animals are all in the top seven most wanted animals on the meta wish list. I do think Frontier will be following the meta. I left off the walkthrough because I don’t know what it will be.

If this next pack is the last pack i'd expect it to be pretty big, like around 15 animals and 3 or 4 exhibit animals. I'd also expect it to cost 15 to 20 dollars. And a scenario creator/editor as a free update.

Hamadryas seems to have been removed from the dictionary by Frontier. But Goodfellow and Secretary are still there.

@@DeLadysigner I think they will be. But I don't think the Musk Ox will part of the pack. I have not found Alaska or Greenland mentioned in the dictionary. Two of the three animals leaked are Africa focused. Impala and Secretary Bird. The word honey is in there too so the honey badger might be coming in the pack. But I've got a strong feeling this is a Worldwide pack and not a Zookeeper pack. There were two Asian countries and two islands mentioned. Bhutan, Afghanistan, Java and Sumatra. So we might be getting Asian focused animals too. I looked up the animals found in Bhutan and Afghanistan and it said Hanuman Grey Langur and Markhor. So far it's looking like this: Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo, Secretary Bird, Impala, Olive Baboon, Hanuman Grey Langur, Markhor, Lesser Mouse Deer, Sumatran Tiger, Sumatran Rhino, and Sumatran Orangutan. Those aren't cold weather animals. They're all tropical or grassland.

I may hope for the walrus, American blackbear, Andean Short-faced Bear(aka Spectacled Bear), Hamadryas Baboon, Secretarybird, Muskox, and others of the meta-list, but I'm also hoping for the other animals outside the meta-wishlist, such are golden jackals, African wolves, aardwolves, brown hyaenas, African leopards, European rabbits, white-tailed deer, black-backed jackals, harbor and leopard seals, etc., for the upcoming DLC and or the future sequel.

@@DeLadysigner Yeah, me too. Sdan thinks this is going to be a big pack with heavy hitters. I think more than eight animals. Maybe like 15 to 20 of the most highly requested. I have a feeling I am going to be right that the animals I listed are in the pack. I saw Planet Zoo's tweet on another Planet Zoo RU-vidr I follow and the eyes emoji told me the DLC that's coming is going to excite players in the community. More importantly it has animals players have been wanting. I listed the Hanuman Langur because they leaked Bhutan in the dictionary, which is part of its range. There were other countries that were leaked in the dictionary that might be part of an animal's range like Afghanistan and Iceland. I don't know of any animals in the game that are found in those regions so it could have been hinting at new animals coming.

In all honesty... would you really be happy with a 'one last hurrah' and then they give us 2 flying birds and stop development? I really wouldn’t like that. If they give me 2, I want them to give me more... hence why I really don't see any full aquatic or full flying birds happening anymore for Planet Zoo 1 at all.

I would love it if they put in flying birds. they have the tech for it. aviaries, parrots, raptors, owls etc. or maybe some fish. like, specific fish can be bought loose while general fish could be particle sliders in the water design window. these things would be massive. I fear they might not do this, but it would so fit an announcement like this

Well, this is exciting. Honestly, I wouldn't have any idea what I'd like to see in this presumably final pack. I know I got what I wanted when they gave us seals and sea lions. So, I'll just wait and see and be surprised. I know it's just a pipe dream, but as far as animals go, I'd really like a walkthrough exhibit for birds. I know, probably coming in PZ2, but a guy can dream. But I'd really like to see some new facilities. Maybe more options like the restaurant and modular gift shop. Or even some attractions like Zoo Tycoon had, like an animal theater or carousel. Again, pipe dream, but still.

I think Frontier will save birds and fish for part 2 as reasons to buy, so it's completely open to me what can come now, I'm already happy with the current selection. Nevertheless, I have nothing against new animals 🙂, but also new decorative objects, plants, benches, building pieces etc. It would also be cool to have official cars, parking lots and things like that...

We could really get all 13 animals by end of year if you really consider the possibility: 13 animals = 7 habitat animals + 1 anniversary animal + 1 multi-species walkthrough exhibit (5 animals). It's a dangerous road to consider that possible, because multispecies would have to be aviary-focused when you look at the roster. It's pretty fair to assume the pack is Latin-Central American themed since that's really where the majority of animals seem to be landing. There's just a few oddities and fan favorites that could not really be a part of that pack, like the Secretary Bird, Tree Kangaroo, Echidna, Markhor, Walrus, and Hammy Baboony. I think I'm not so much hyped but depressed for the pack, because I really feel that the majority of all the packs were just so many reskins and overly-specific additions for "favorites". I would have enjoyed having as much diversity in all types of animals, while allowing the mods to reskin the ones that are super similar.... seriously, like how many hoofstock that behave similarly and a mod could easily just reskin? That's not enough to explain my position, because that really just narrows down a lot of options, but hopefully it gives the gist enough. Like, okay, we don't get the walrus.... well we already have the grey seal which has a lot of visual and behavioral similarities, so easily the mods could adjust this to work within the parameters of a Walrus or Manatee, right? Whereas we never got anything like a chameleon, with the behavioral camoflauging technique... closest would probably be the iguanas, but they chonky in comparison. And we never got anything like a rabbit, closest is the quokka. it's easy to see the countless number of animals with very specific behaviors we don't have now, and look at how nit-picky but similar behaviors we already have in game.

Also, then there's mechanics from PC1 we never got, not just ride stuff, but like the variety of shops. Seriously, it's stupid we don't have something asian or seafood themed in PZ, cuz those are popular, along with salads and sandwiches. While it's not exactly important for the community, it gives versatility and expands the borders. I feel PZ challenged successfully those borders (the insane amount of themes), but failed horribly in others.

I also think this might be Latin/Central America themed. I did find a hint in the dictionary suggesting we might be getting the Southern Tamandua, which is found in Latin America.

Good chance that these are words that also belong to rides or scenery of Planet Coaster 1 or 2... so I'm not really expecting those... but who knows? 😅

We are never 100% sure.. but it might be, as PC2 is on the horizon and it seems very likely they are working on PZ2 to launch end of 2026.. Time will have to tell..

I feel like saving flying fish for Planet zoo 2 will be like a money grab because there is no excuse to have them in the game now. PLus, personally I don't want a number two and spend all the money I already have on a sequel that could be so similar to the game we have now. Anyway, on another note as long as the new pack as a coati and a tree kangaroo and maybe bush dogs I will personally happy. But, I do like your idea on the pack being with 12 animals to round it up to 200 as that seems like a good number of animals to end on.

A final dlc while they have not even touched fish and bird yets, a zoo without those is not a complete zoo. And they do have everything in game already to just add these swimming and flying animals. It is a shame, especially if you look at how overpriced every of their tiny dlc's are.
