Not gonna lie, I totally tried to scroll the page up to read ahead! XD It's been a while since I've read something in the present tense. It is an unexpected but welcome change! I will absolutely continue reading this series, you've definitively hooked my attention and racing theories. I don't add notes like this too often, but I like to help people grow their talents. From one writer to another, keep an eye on that passive voice. I use it FAR too often, but I can finally catch it when I edit(most of the time). It's an amazing tool to use sometimes, but overuse can dampen the liveliness of a piece. What to look for: Sentences that could be more streamlined. An example - "I am thinking that chips taste good when they are with salsa." The passive voice here is specifically, "when they are with" and "I am thinking." This can be edited to, "I think that chips taste good with salsa." Look out for forms of is (has, was, is, are, had) that may not be necessary to a sentence. Those are usually the culprits. There are also instances where the word order makes a sentence passive, but those are more complicated. I'm still learning to identify them. I hope that's useful to whomever reads this. Never get caught up on grammar, but do make it a guide to express your artistry and story clearly.
My biggest hate with this series is that it's just a little too upbeat and exciting to use the playlist as sleep background noise... I want to listen to stories this good when I'm feeling asleep! It's not fair I have to keep looking for more peaceful and relaxing stories despite already finding something this good!
@@pamspray5254 while I love this series lemming to it makes me too giddy to really shift into a sleeping state and repetition has never helped me fall asleep. I've done things like counting sheep (consistently reached into the thousands and falling asleep from sheer exception 2-4 hours after starting assuming I didn't end up needing to get up for school before those guys passed) before trying doing random mid level math in my head for a few months (inspired by ender from enders game) before finally finding calming stories or music helps. Most consistent playlist for me is a mix of quieter and calmer miraculous stories, although for a while before I entered the miraculous fandom I used thunder videos or Hellsing ultimate abridged on repeat. Yes takahata101's voice was Alucard was enough to turn that into a relaxing sleep playlist for me through my senior year of highschool.
