Prospective NBA players not only go through intense physical training, but also social and media training. With the rise of digital media, players need to be cool, calm, and collected in front of the cameras and behind the computer. It's all about the image and making sure that they are portraying the person they want to be perceived as. The media has its way of twisting and turning the "realness" of a story.
This past summer in Las Vegas, ASM Sports Agency held an open showing of their players for NBA teams to come and see their skills.
"Next Up" is a Grit Media original series following the journeys of college basketball players entering the 2015 NBA Draft. On the path, we check out their pre-draft workouts, get to know them on and off the court, and find out how they deal with pressure to make an NBA roster.
In Grit's newest series, "Next Up," we took a trip to Las Vegas to spend some time with potential first-round and second round picks for the 2015 NBA Draft.
