I know it has been a real slog, but it's amazing to think back to all of the leaks, all of the rotten wood, all of moldy cork, all of the delaminated fiberglass, and how ALL OF IT is gone and replaced with properly installed, engineered materials. It's so cool to imagine the 1000s of miles you'll travel on open ocean with such a solid, trustworthy hull beneath and around you. What a transformation.

You guys are the most inspiring couple. Aladino, you take craftsmanship to the next level. I’m in awe of your patience, precision and focus. Maya, your resilience and ability to soak up new skills is equally admirable, especially as (and here I’m with you totally) it’s not your natural environment. Hi you two, what a fantastic job you are doing on your boat, we have been watching it from the start and like the way you give 100% on what you are doing. And now it’s time to wrap up the chapter in the states, and then hopefully a more than well deserved rest in Europe. Dear Maya and Aladino. 👍👌👏 Oh WOW, what a pace! I wouldn't have believed that you two could work even harder and faster as you usually already do. You nevertheless still do very precise work. By the way: The interior looks stunning already. I'm thankful and relieved that Maya's Dad is able to help. But to me the most important and best thing is to hear that you will take a break and do some sailing with Magic Carpet 1 before continuing the refit. Congratulations 🎉 for having done this decision. You know you could create a backrest for the navigation station that sits on the quarter birth and held in place with dowel pins. That way someone can lift the backrest out when they want to sleep in the quarter berth
