I have just got the 4k version too and impressed with night and day quality. I also recently purchased the 622 version with rear cam! Now swapping it all out for the IQ. I hope the iq will be able to roll a update to have 4k 60fps option recording. Also release the main selling features currently not available asap.
Yes, I've had every model, this is best so far, hopefully will get the rear soon, not going to pay for subscription until all the features are available
also an option not to record lo res versions, and why is there no speed option on the display ?, that has to be one of the most important things needed as evidence if footage is used
Have you check iq 4k in extreme weather condition because it have not extreme weather mode?I have 622 can you suggest me it is best for switching it 4k or 622 is better?

hope you get on with it ok,,, 100% best quality video i have seen from all other NB models, but massively let down by the software, im just using it as a basic dashcam without any of the subscription features, maybe in a few months it might get sorted and then it will be worth paying for
@@streetsofbath even the premium subscription is only £9.99 a month, with 2 months free, and with cloud storage negates the need for the SD card, can view everything on the app
9.99 might be worth it when all the features work, and you can actually connect to the app, i dont get 4g in my village, the other day went to town had full 4g on phone and cam, still wouldnt connect, tried reset cam etc, its very hit and miss as to weather it works at the moment @@jonah406
its all boxed up ready to go back to halfords, couldnt get a interior view because of the size of the camera, the only place i could fit it, the interior mirror covered up most of the lens (not really nb fault) the main reasons for returning is i cant get any 4g service in my village so cant connect to camera, too many features not available yet, (meant to be available in future updates), the lack of response for help from nb, and nb keep putting back the release of the rear cam, so the 622 has been put back in.
Have you experienced any problems installing it? I just bought it and seems like there are problems with my connection. Did you use odp to connect? Thanks in advance
havent checked mine for weeks, im waiting to call NB for instructions on how to factory format the camera, as it wont connect to the app, my fault i messed up with different accounts, but the main question is,,, what happens if you sell the camera, no one can connect it to a new app installation ? , i have literally no phone signal where i live and i need to be in the car when i call them, so wifi calling is no good, i will phone them when i am parked up in town. had over 50 interactions with the help department, cant really fault them on that part of the service,
@@streetsofbath I have 37 days tested e.g I was driving 20 min and driving start at 15.00 camera stop recording at 15.05 start recording again at 15.10 stop at 15.17 start at 15.19 so it’s randomly stop recording I have check all the updates but nothing happened
never had that problem, i use a 512gb card and all the recordings were correctly timed in order, will get the card out tomorrow and have a look how its been going, i cant access the app, but the only thing i have noticed, that when the car is parked on the drive with nothing moving anywhere near it, no passers by, no branches moving etc, both the front and rear cameras are flashing red for hours until the car battery reaches the cut out point, hopefully after the new year i will be able to phone them and get it sorted

hi, just select the hq files from the sd card and drop them all in to premier or other video compiler, they all should just drop in sequence with no joins when you view the video, then you can cut out any bits you dont want
hi, when i empty the card i only keep the hq front files and load them into adobe premier and they automatically join together a 512gb card works in the unit, so you could make videos as long as you want, i normally use gopros and instas to make my videos, and use 60 or 120 fps so i can slow them down, but iq only records in 30fps so cant really slow it down, but then again, its not designed to make tourism videos like i make, so its no fault of the camera, the quality is the best i have seen on a dashcam, just a shame i cant use it like i wanted
no, i would have thought that it was one of the most important features to have, but its not there, maybe it will come in an firmware update, just like all the other feature we are waiting for. doesnt look like they done any real world testing on this model,
only a little screen with information icons, did take the subscription out, but, got a new phone, cant connect the app to the camera, need to factory format the camera to get back to the install screen, not getting any response from emails to nextbase, just automated response saying email received etc. I'm wondering what happens if you sell the camera, no one else can connect it to the app ?

@@streetsofbath well I did the update last night and nothing seems any different. Hit and miss as to wether the rear camera connects. It was connecting last night after the update but it won’t connect this morning, only the fronts connect.
been out all day, different locations, full signal, not once did the rear connect, going to flood every post from nextbase on facebook and youtube with questions, why does the rear not connect ?, when will the subscription services you want paying for actually work ? , why is there no speed display option ? why did you not test the camera before releasing it ? and lots more@@TheMuddatrucker
hi again, 06-12-2023. noticed anything strange ??? i left contacting you for a few days, just to make sure, but everything seems to have sorted itself out, connects to app every time and back camera connects, just waiting for a bit of dry weather and decent sky and will do a 3 cam video. im sure its impossible to happen, but maybe a hidden firmware upgrade or something ?
@@streetsofbath that’s kind of how it’s been for me except occasionally the rear cam doesn’t connect, but then try it again and it does. But then on the thumbnail only the two front cameras are visible then the next time you try all three are there, it’s weird. But still my main issue is the lack of motion alerts when in smart sense parking mode, they still don’t work, but the others do. Also noticed that if you have maximum sensitivity set on parking mode then my camera only last for 48 hrs before shutting down completely due to the cars battery hitting the pre-set 12v shut off. All this is now irrelevant to me as I’ve cancelled my subscription and been back to halfords today to ask them if there’ll be any issue returning it for a refund, they agreed with me and said yes just bring it back and they’ll issue refund without any issues. I’ll be returning it tomorrow 🤦🏼♂️ lol oh well
Thanks for this video - quality is really good. Have you had a chance to test the "radar" whilst the car is parked and see how quick it is to pickup things coming into the sensor zones? If so, how have you found it? Thanks
hi, i cant be 100% sure, but the radar feature is not live yet and coming in a future update? , im not using it anymore for various reasons, i cant get 4g in my village, so cant even connect to the car on the drive, couldnt position the unit and get the full image of the inside camera, my car has a big built in front emergency cam, the iq is maybe 3 times the size of previous cams and the inside camera was behind the interior mirror, didnt like the idea of paying full subscription for features that nb dont even know when they will become live, need the rear cam, and they keep putting forward the release date, , had little or no response from NB help, so gone back to the 622 and rear cam,, @TheMuddatrucker has had the same sort of problems, might be worth asking what he has achieved with nb help, , sorry i couldnt give any good advice, but used nearly every model nextbase have made, this is the only one that has caused problems. i think it was just released too early with little or no real world testing.

It didn’t say anything about the radar/proximity feature not working yet on their website 🙄🤦♂️ It’s one of the main reasons I’ve purchased it - my car keeps getting damaged whilst parked and it’s driving me nuts - how can people be so flipping careless and evil and just drive off!? I was looking at the black vue and the thinkware - however it seems a little complicated for my liking. I’m a little annoyed that they didn’t mention anything about the radar thing not working - i even spoke to the customer support and they mentioned it works without the subscription. Another headache seems to be on the horizon 🙄😬🙊🤦♂️
@@streetsofbath just double checked and it seems the feature I need for when the car is parked etc is supposedly working and active, it’s called “smart sense parking”. Let’s see 🤷♂️

@@TheReminderChannnel you’re in same boat as me, I wanted this mainly for the motion alerts when someone’s lurking around my car, or another car parks besides me…… Well it doesn’t work yet! 😔 Alerts work for if a car hits yours, or someone breaks in but NOT for motion! 👎🏻 You need the subscription with this camera, without it would mean it’s just a normal dash cam. It’s not the subscription that bothers me in the slightest, this is quite new and exclusive tech so I’m happy to pay for the service…… IF IT WAS THERE! 🤦🏼♂️😔
Seen in another forum that the rear was withheld because of firmware problems?, NB site now says available 17th, but , have to say the front performer better than any previous model. Just driven today through town and through baths security zone. Will get it on here tonight

@@streetsofbath yep agree! For me all it needed was a statement from them explaining things and I’d possible be ok waiting a short time for them to get it right? But it’s the silence that’s most concerning. You get 28 days free on the subscription so at least I haven’t been charged anything for that yet, I may still wake up one day in bad mood and decide to rip it out too, but I think I’ll call back into halfords tomorrow and ask their advise. I know they can’t refuse to take it back as it doesn’t work as advertised but I’m sure you understand when I say I’d rather have it working and keep it 👍🏻
100% understand, the quality is good enough for me to use instead of my roof mounted gopros, and would be lots more convenient, just not putting up with nextbase not telling the truth and sending out wrong information, had some really nice footage today and could have made a couple of good videos, but dont want to promote it and maybe encourage people to get one, had most of their models in the last 10 years, possibly will return it and look elsewhere@@TheMuddatrucker
