I found this Intel powered 10.1 inch Windows laptop / tablet at Walmart for only $179 and decided to give it a try. Like the other low end devices we've looked at this one runs with an Atom Bay Trail processor and runs the full version of Windows 8.1.
It has a 32 gigabyte internal solid state drive but only 1 gigabyte of RAM which limits multitasking performance.
The overall build quality is surprisingly good for the price but it is a little on the heavy side. The tablet portion can detach from the included keyboard.
The tablet has an IPS display which offers decent viewing angles, but its color temperature runs a little too cool which results in a blue hue. I also noticed some bleed through of the backlight on the bottom of the display.
Performance is similar to that of the other Atom Bay Trail based devices I've looked at. It can run Minecraft but other modern games may struggle. Web browsing, video watching with Netflix and RU-vid, and Microsoft Office apps all run great.
