Pre release view of a new display for the UBITX
Firmware Created by Dr. Ian Lee (KD8CEC)
The modified screen was created By Allen - KN4UD
Nextion touch display 3.2E
Only 4 wires to connect +5 gnd and 2 for serial connection to raduino
Adds a professional look and function to ubitx radio.
Very quite, no detectable noise

IIRC dr Lee had mentioned his software runs on the 2.4 an 2.8 versions of the Nextion. Will this larger screen also be added to the options?

Joe, Thanks for doing this..It is a great addition to the uBitx from Dr. Lee. Maybe another short explanation video of the hook up. (this would be for all the noobs) de. n2aie Vince

I have a nextion display I purchased when Ian was doing the pi+nextion project. I says NX4024T032 on it. Is this the larger one that he hasn't written a version for yet ?

The NX4024T032 is the Basic 3.2 inch version. KD8CEC , currently supports 2.4 and 2.8. However, myself, VE1BWV and KN4UD will support 3.2 and 3.2 E...this is what we both are running and it is currently work very well. Once Ian, KD8CEC is ready to release, after testing is completed. We wil make the 3.2 version available Joe

Hi joe. What is that black material you have around the display ? Is it something which could be purchased as it looks good. I'm thinking you purchased the material and cut it ?

It comes in rolls in various colors, used for auto interior enhancement...I make my bezels by cutting out the plastic from scribblers ---lots of scribblers have a plastic cover so I cut the bezel then wrapit. I know, some are asking what in the heck is he doing on , its field day ! But, I have to say, the 3.2 is probably the largest practical display I'd want to use, the 7 would require a different unusual case , like one from an old tv maybe. My eyes can work with the S4 cell phone so the 3.2 is perfect. Wrapped in that stuff, would be really cool. I like it very much :-)

The 3.2E is may favorite .( just received a second 3.2E for bench testing and development) Nice viewing and fits in any case easy...
