Thank you for doing this video. More people should hear this song! My 12 year old son shared this song with me -as his favorite atm. After listening to it I couldn't help but wonder what is going through his heart/mind that makes him identify so closely to this. He lives with his mom and circumstances have kept me from spending as much time as I want to with him. I can't watch or listen to it without crying - at least a little -
I'm a Christian as well, and NF always spills the deepest Godly lyrics, and it's super relatable to me, and my life story, and I just love NF because how real he is! It's super cool as a Christian to see that he's open to his faith, and his struggles, and that's what we need right now, especially for my generation!
Best part of this song is that it feels like it's just as much of a prayer as a story. Just that start of "Dear God" to the plea for help with "But I just can't keep living in..." It's always refershing to see artists talk about their faith as well as reactors too.
Y’all want to embrace NF for everything but his faith? Ok, whatever. Having a relationship with God is what makes sense of so much of life that is otherwise meaningless or impossible to take.

Honestly I'm not religious one bit but theres just something about NF! Hes so good at what he does and he doesnt shove it down your throat you know what I mean? He is def one of the best artist out right now imo

The actors in this video were great, but that little girl killed it! I literally felt her pain. I can totally see this being a radio hit although it hits different without the video.

"pay attention to your kids" is far too broad a term. Give a damn. Value your childrens' happiness as if it were your own. Make a better life for them than you had yourself. Paying attention isn't enough. Do better.
He's actually talking in the point of view of the girl all grown up remembering her childhood, and wondering if things had been different if she would have been happy but can't see what that would even look like
